I just finished Kanon, and a lot of discussion here seems to be about K-on! so I was wondering if it's just a popular trend right now. Though I'd rather not start on another anime so soon...it'll ruin my Starcraft schedule. >.> | ||

I haven't watched the 2nd season, but the first season essentially didn't have a plot, and was just about the girls going through highschool and wasting time in their music club. So if you like slice of life shows, maybe you should look into it. Otherwise, stay away. | ||

The Makoto arc was a bit strange and uninteresting at times, but her pranks were funny....then Mai was pretty nice...but it was also meh for me. So iono. Edit: And ok. I have the episodes on me if I want to watch, but given the reaction, I guess I might stay away for a little bit before deciding. | ||

It also kinda re-affirmed my distaste of general Japanese anime sci-fi, wherein the story necessarily escalates to a World End All sort of scenario. Maybe it's just me but I find it really lame. I much prefer it when it's like a premise (ie. Brain Powered) than a stupid build-up like Final Fantasy. | ||
