Watched the first 2 episodes. Nice nice! I hope the kid's emo state won't last too long ; I'd love to learn more about that crazy future! (Although, I have a strange feeling that it will turn into a rebellion soon enough..)

Finished it and I am pretty fucking confused lol. + Show Spoiler + She got her body back when Kano showed it to her, I think. Which is weird, because when I first saw that episode it definitely seemed to be a big "Kano is evil" reveal, but nope.

My main concern is that the anime takes the rebellion route too quickly. I enjoy SCI-FI because they portray crazy future. I dislike action stories 'featuring sci-fi elements'. (not sure if that makes any sense...) I'll try to make an analogy : I love the Zombie genre (AKA : survival and horror). I DISLIKE action-zombie movies (like Resident Evil movies, except maybe for first one) because Zombies become an EXCUSE for action. I don't dislike action, but I prefer a focus over the survival part which, IMO, is the essence of the zombie genre. I love Sci-Fi. I do enjoy action-sci-fi, but I'd rather get to know more about the universe first before seeing spaceships shooting at each other! Right now, my main fear is that Terra e... will turn into an action anime too fast. Let me know what you think of the anime when you get to watch a few episodes Bigfan!

Let me know what you think of the anime when you get to watch a few episodes Bigfan! hmm so basically, you want the central plot of the story to be about sci-fi and not just a small portion. I guess you mean everything is engulfed in those elements, right? I get what you mean though if you had some anime example, it would help me make sure I got your point lol. I plan to watch some tommorrow so will definitely let you know what I think of it then ![]()

Shinobu is also awesome. And Nadeko breaking down. Pretty impressive stuff. Still remember hanakana voice that time.

I dont really know of a lot of animes that are good Sci-fi worlds but books I'm very proficient in. Asimov wrote a lot of stuff like that, Ben Bova has a lot too. Anyways, I watched Tales of Vesperia: First Strike movie today, I really enjoyed it. I loooved the game and its storyline and characters so it was cool to see this. It's a prequel with it's own good standalone story if you haven't played the game. I was surprised it was so good being an "adaptation" from a video game, but what I think they did really well was not try to just tell the same story from the game and come up with a different story that worked. The dog Repede was adorable in this, one of my favorite parts was when they're in a tavern and he finds a spoon and sniffs it, and in the next scene he swapped out the stick he was carrying for the spoon. I also loved how they played the opening scene/music video from the game at the end of the movie/during the credits which makes it feel so connected with the games story. + Show Spoiler + I do love this song..just hearing it that once from watching the movie, and now it'll be in my head for like a week

And the follow up ED(kimi no shiranai monogatari) song by yanagi after that scene was perfect. The first time i saw that scene i was in awe. Of course there were other defining scenes of the series like the end monologue of nisemonogatari or the toothbrush scene(you gotta admit that scene was powerful) or hanakana raging scene. That scene though made me feel all fluffy and stuff.
