lol at this anime recommendation conversation. You guys should've just agreed to disagree from the start and saved yourself the headache ^^ Also, am I the only one that enjoyed Naruto? Aside from some of the fillers after the rescue Sasuke arc being a bit boring, it wasn't that bad. Shippuden also wasn't too bad though the almost constant filler arcs made me drop it several years back.

Yes, I was being sarcastic. I'm not a fan of what Code Geass turned into, and used the term derisively.

haha. Just as expected from a Sent post. Pretty sure I wasn't the only person to like it, same with thinking it's not too bad for either one. Only dropped it since pacing was slow and I started reading the manga so didn't want to wait. If I wasn't behind by over 150 episodes or something like that, I would easily pick it up again and continue watching and wouldn't regret it

nope. It was the most boring day of my life and I marathoned 7 or 6 of the episodes only to never, ever watch it again. I also don't want people to know about it

Naruto is of the quality that if you read the manga you likely won't want to go through all that agony again (+ fillers). It was fun at first but started to go down hill faster and faster until now where the series is literally sprinting down the hill so it can slam its head on the concrete wall at the bottom, hoping that the head trauma will make it all make sense.


Started Haruhi. Weird episode to start off with but people said to watch it in broadcast order. I even read the 1st novel and the contents of that episode weren't in it. I assume it is part of the sprinkling of other novels that are in S1.

Lol, I just said FLCL a couple pages back because that show got me into watching anime (along with Love Hina ). Didn't think people would have such strong opinions against it.

Which reminds me, not seeing Love Hina in the recommended list makes me a sad panda.

well, I think it was just the anime pacing. Having a filler arc after every single canon arc just annoyed me. At times, they made Naruto even forget his signature move, Rasengan only to remember it 4-5 episodes later and finish the enemy with it. It became hard to watch since some of the cooler fights would've taken a while to get to and the fillers got boring as well. I was ok with it before I started reading the manga but then ya, it was just too slow for me though I loved how much Naruto x Hinata fanservice we got XD

you mean Rinne tensei no jutsu? I personally wouldn't have minded some dead people here and there to make it a bit more realistic however with Rinne tensei, it's usually a one time justu that takes the life of the user and you need the Rinnegan to use it so it's not like every single ninja can do it, only a select few of which Nagato was one who did it.

It'll be totally different if it was available for anyone to use. It's definitely a cop out since Kishi didn't want most of Konoha to be dead even with Tsunade's snail helping out (at least in Pain's attack on Konoha since a ton died there and doubt Konoha would be the same anymore). I think you can safely skip it. It's pretty generic harem... Which might be what you're into, but I didn't find much appeal to it. There were some mildly humorous moments, but nothing good enough to suffer through the rest of the mediocre stuff.

For those that have watched it, how is Selector Infected WXIOSIDASklfd? Is it mature or is it more-less directed towards a younger audience?

Actually, technically can't the Rinne tensei be cast as many times as you want? Its just that Nagato was already out of energy when he cast it.

well, from what I understand, it uses a shit ton of chakra putting you on the brink of death. Whether it can be cast 3-4 times in a row or not is unknown. Maybe if you cast it once then get some sleep? Either way, my main point to Sent was that the users of it was limited so it's not a common technique even though it's technically broken and OP as hell lol. Part of the fun is having OP moves like Susanoo so I didn't mind it lol.

I liked the anime better, but then again I saw the anime before reading the manga, so I dunno. Either way, the voicing and the animation (oh the slapstick ) is well done and they added a bunch of stories that are not in the manga (and changed some stuff like Shinobu's origins, for example), so it's worth it if you liked the manga imo.

oh Edo Tensei. Well, I think Edo Tensei is a really stupid move. It's true that only Orochimaru and Kabuto have used it and it's likely that 99.99% of ninjas will never get to that level to use it but I don't like it. I feel Kishi shouldn't have introduced it because Kabuto using it on the scale that he did was preposterous. It's only been used a couple of times though (when Konoha was attacked, to revive the hokages, this current war arc and one other time I believe) so at least it's not being spammed too much lol.

Well, if I remember right most of the changed stuff was more expanded than changed exactly. Like, I remember Suu (the indian-ish girl) had a transformation chapter in the manga without much of a plot, but in the anime they added a plot and a character (her sister appears).
