Didn't think people would have such strong opinions against it. Which reminds me, not seeing Love Hina in the recommended list makes me a sad panda. How's the Love Hina anime? I only read the manga many years back but enjoyed it. Is it worth it? I liked the anime better, but then again I saw the anime before reading the manga, so I dunno. Either way, the voicing and the animation (oh the slapstick ) is well done and they added a bunch of stories that are not in the manga (and changed some stuff like Shinobu's origins, for example), so it's worth it if you liked the manga imo. slapstick? I don't remember lol. I do remember that tsunade ninja and Shinobu being the cute shy one lol. Changed some stuff? Mind telling me what the original part was so that if I watch it, I can take note of that? Well, I'll give an episode or two a try then. Well, if I remember right most of the changed stuff was more expanded than changed exactly. Like, I remember Suu (the indian-ish girl) had a transformation chapter in the manga without much of a plot, but in the anime they added a plot and a character (her sister appears). Shinobu (the cute shy one) has her first episode linked to her moving in, unlike in the manga where she starts at the inn to begin with. Stuff like that. The slapstick is crucial, though . ah I see, fair enough. Loved Suu's character as well. Her random inventions made for some fun chapters lol. Maybe I'll watch if for nostalgia's sake :D

It'll be totally different if it was available for anyone to use. Also, keep in mind that it works only for recently dead people (to revive a bunch) or for a single individual who died a long time back. It's definitely a cop out since Kishi didn't want most of Konoha to be dead even with Tsunade's snail helping out (at least in Pain's attack on Konoha since a ton died there and doubt Konoha would be the same anymore). Dunno what you mean by the second part? Copout=bad, right?
The second part is when they did it again, and literally brought back like every single character who ever died. They brought back fucking Zabuza, and then killed him again in the exact same manner as the first time.

Sigh I hesitate to post this b/c some of the people in this thread tend to not accept differing views or opinions. And then there's the really cool ones who really try, So i guess i'm a little conflicted.
After reading the last few pages I'm reminded why i hate this thread. I'd like to remind you all that everybody has their own tastes and just b/c somebody's differs from yours does not make them stupid or whatever. That said, I think most of the suggestions were pretty decent (i guess...i won't go into my reasons, i'll just say there's thousands of anime fans that started on shows like FLCL and Beebop) Which brings up another point, I'm sure all of you have watched one's you're not proud of, and I'm sure that for a lot of you, the first few anime's you watched would probably be something you'd vehemently deny now.
Now onto the good stuffs!!! What I'm watching now...
No Game No Life Black Bullet Hitsugi no Chaika Brynhildr in the Darkness
Im truly enjoying NGNL it's a very fun anime, and like my brother keeps saying, the color scheme's and animation in that are at times outright beautiful.
Black Bullet has been enjoyable, I'm a big fan of the super powerful girl partner thing
Chaika has been intriguing, i really like the world that it's set in, but i wish there was just more about it (the fantasy world that is and like more history of the war(s) and things that have happened prior to episode 1), but i understand they're trying to get as much story in as little time as possible.
Brynhildr i'm unsure about...it's pretty cool but I have 2 complaints: 1 being that this is sooo soo soo much like Elfen Lied it's basically the same storyline sans the family lovin, and the 2nd being...i could swear ive either read this story or seen it somewhere before (like everything that's happening I'm like...I TOTALLY KNEW THAT, and getting huge Deja Vu feelings)
+ Show Spoiler +God damn I almost forgot to say, in Chaika I was thinking the white/red/blue chaika's were all split personalities of the same person, but my brother made a really interesting point that the original Chaika/princess was actually killed (based on the latest episode where there's like a memory flash of somebody getting their head chopped off) and that all the Chaika's are just clones/copies somehow...which sort of explains why they all have that ring around their necks

The 1st part of your post you can take and shove it and the high horse you tried to ride in on.. We aren't idiots who need the basics of human discourse explained to us. This isn't even bad "the last few pages", people arguing? So what? A lot of different people are here with varying opinions (sometimes extremely different) but the thread manages its own harmony. There is a history here between people operating on many levels so you have no idea exactly how any of the many exchanges are shaped by that history or the relationship between posters.
NGNL has been awesome. I really have enjoyed a lot of it (aside from some overly done fan service). I agree that the colors and animation are amazing at times. I would add that certain songs used also add a lot to it.
Haven't watched Black Bullet or Brynhildr but Chaika has been a pretty positive surprise. Did not expect much from it at first. Has some roughness around the edges in its lore/world (in that its pretty bare atm) but its good and I will be watching S2 in the fall and filling in more of the world.

^ come now Slaughter. I don't believe his post was meant to be harmful. All he was saying is that there seems to be too much arguing over a difference in opinion which is kinda true. He wasn't saying that it won't happen or everybody has to play nice though it would be more welcoming to members if people were less critical (some criticism is ok though). Having said that, the previous argument in pages past is nowhere near as bad as it sounds lol so I think he needs a better example ^^ Yes, the thread can be quite harmonious though so I don't really want much to change. Would rather people were frank about their dislike but a little toned down for new members to weave in and such

Considering it's only been used once and successfully showed just how much of a badass Nagato was at the same time (prior to use), I was ok with it since it wasn't spammed. I watch anime and read manga to see OP move and random stuff like that going on so long as it doesn't get out of hand.
As I mentioned to Slaughter, I think edo Tensei was a ridiculous idea precisely due to how spammable it was by Kabuto and I would've preferred if they maintained the dignity of the dead. If you want to discuss this stuff further, just pm me or something so that we don't get a warning for this lol.

I too am watching and enjoying NGNL, Black Bullet and Hitsugi no Chaika. I think I like them for the same reasons you do as well. I like how NGNL is 'different' from current anime that I'm watching. I like how BB has great characters and the story is intriguing. I do also agree that for Chaika, wish we got more history however i think we'll get more information as the anime progresses. There's a second season right after this first one finishes so they'll be plenty more opportunities to provide history info in between their regular tasks of collecting body parts.
As for the other stuff you wrote first, ya, it's quite common to see a lot of disagreements and back and forth here but if I were you, I would just shrug it off and proceed with whatever you had in mind (whether writing a post or discussing an anime with someone etc... )

Why is znf rec'ing FLCL ? I know shit ton of people who hate it and most of them liked most mainstream action-comedy stuff like naruto,SnK, FT and others.
Just rec him common mainstream action-comedy stuff. I'm sure sooner or later he will be searching for something else if he still keeps watching anime and that's where you rec him other stuff than the mainstream.
It's like recommending someone Usagi Drop on someone who is just seeking some action anime and they'll be going like "where the fuck is the action ? why is there a kid in the show ? i don't want to watch a kid growing up".

Started Haruhi. Weird episode to start off with but people said to watch it in broadcast order. I even read the 1st novel and the contents of that episode weren't in it. I assume it is part of the sprinkling of other novels that are in S1.
Just continue watching it in broadcast order. It's the best order IMO. Chronological is pretty bad it finishes The melancholy book really fast and you'll lose interest since what's left is the other stuff.

There has been quite a number of hana to yume mangas getting animated so who knows far as Kawaisou goes. I think there is enough content, but it doesn't really go anywhere atm so I'd rather not see a s2.
Instead give me love so life pls, and keep drama cd casts.

I have been meaning to get into Love so Life. I assume its good then?

You're actually right, and i'm sorry. I really was just trying to give an outsider's perspective to some of the things in this thread and why I don't enjoy coming here all the time. And I'd like to clarify that it's not the fact that there's arguments over differing opinions, I just wish that people were more respectful of each other in arguments/discussions (which is something that's absolutely not limited to just this thread). The point I was trying to get across is it's sometimes daunting for a newbie to come here and try to discuss animes which is sad to me because i absolutely freaking LOVE anime, and wish everybody in the world had a chance to enjoy it as much as I do (and everybody here too).

Has some roughness around the edges in its lore/world (in that its pretty bare atm) but its good and I will be watching S2 in the fall and filling in more of the world.
Oh its fine, I probably shouldn't have come off as strong as I did. Sorry about that. This thread is a bit daunting to newer people because people do use strong language and a lot of disrespect. A lot of people don't know the exact subtext and what people actually think of each other (a lot of it isn't nearly as serious as it seems).
Just post and get to know the flow of the thread and people! You will find your place here if you are interested in joining this elitist group (minus BigFan he is nice). You will most definitely find people with similar tastes to you here.

Don't worry guys two weeks until Glasslip and then best season ever.

I looked over it today briefly. Didn't seem to have too much for me in terms of what I like, but I said that about this season and was pleasantly surprised by the ones I ended up picking as "maybe". It does have Ao Haru Ride so I will be somewhat interested to see how they do that story. The male lead is finally getting off his ass and acting properly in the manga.

It was fun at first but started to go down hill faster and faster until now where the series is literally sprinting down the hill so it can slam its head on the concrete wall at the bottom, hoping that the head trauma will make it all make sense.
----------------------------------- Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou 12 is finally subbed :D been holy shit excited for the past 2 days. should be sad! It's the last episode!
Why do you have to remind me of this?
Anyways Ecael .. you mean later this show goes to nowhere ? i actually like this show and really wanted to see s2 .. if this was the case then it's pretty sad

Also, what did you think about the "bring back to life everyone who ever died again no jutsu"? you mean Rinne tensei no jutsu? I personally wouldn't have minded some dead people here and there to make it a bit more realistic however with Rinne tensei, it's usually a one time justu that takes the life of the user and you need the Rinnegan to use it so it's not like every single ninja can do it, only a select few of which Nagato was one who did it. They brought back fucking Zabuza, and then killed him again in the exact same manner as the first time. can you take this to the naruto thread, please. I'd rather not go into that shithole. I just wanted to see if BigFan likes offensively bad writing, and judging from his answers, he does. What a masochist. ROFL
