The TV series so far is just slightly better animation, brighter and crisper, but it's only two episodes in so there are no differences in story yet. Ideally the TV series will want to be more faithful to the manga, but the movie events were still well done. Edit: Refreshing my memory I can see what they could have done better in the movies. + Show Spoiler +
The way Girge died in the movie meant they also had to change the way Borcuses died. Borcuses in the manga taunts Rygart into killing him instead of capturing him which kind of drives Rygart insane. Also the PTSD, prisoner exchange, hunt for Delphine, villager massacre and Narvi gets revenge.
Still the movie ending did leave room for a second season. Hoping for a second season, the manga events are kind of slow and not enough for a second season yet, but it does seem to be leading to something big. Oh one thing that still bothers me about Break Blade is they never explain how Rygart can talk to other pilots.
It looks better...? I'm pretty sure they are just chopping up the movies into 12 episodes. Maybe I'll download the first episode to see. All I know for a fact is that the TV OP is fucking terrible, especially when compared to the great OP the movies had.
Oh so it literally is the same thing? I guess I'm just comparing SD to HD then. Comparing the first scenes with Rygart they are the same. I made a mistake not comparing the same scenes and just jumped from TV ep2 to movie 2. Though according to wiki there will be new scenes in the tv series. And of course the movie OP is better.

I have no idea what is new and good this season, and also if I've missed anything good since kill la kill, any recommendations?
Edit: Just looking for recommendations for anything good since KLK, will read reviews and see if anything interests me, thanks :D
let's be honest, the show was good for 2 or 3 episodes and ended up being the same all the time, every single episode.

Episode 3 was amazing beyond words. Even though each story is standalone, for me it carried far more weight than most 1-2 cour anime try to pull off in a SEASON.
I post about it like every week and spam IRC frequently about how amazing I find mushishi to be... and yeah as Eca said, you're hardly alone. Plenty of us like mushishi (for me personally s1 was by far my favourite anime ever).
Ep 3 was nice. It was one of my favourite chapters from that half of the manga and they did an excellent job with it, but I realised already after ep 2 that they haven't slipped up and really follow the manga just like they did with s1 with exceptional adaption. Can't wait for the episodes where it goes full suffering.
I'm at the episode where Yang and Lohengramm just met. Nothing happened yet but I can already guess what is going to happen. I don't want to continue... You guys were right, it does get worse after Kircheis dies.
edit. Wait what, no one died yet. Lol I thought the kid would poison Yang with the tea. I was too paranoid.
Damn The Seven Deadly Sins gets their anime. Anyone reads that manga? I love it. Totally dragon ball artystyle but with RPG+medieval world setting, story is decent, tempo is great, hope it will get big soon.

I think of all the shows this season it's actually one of the worst lol. Not a big fan of it at all. The character design is kind of bland, the story itself is essentially Mirai Nikki but without anything special and basically just a cover up for dem shoujo ai shit. In a show that kind of promised action the animation is whatever and as far as the characters are concerned (since this seems to be a character driven piece anyway), it looks like all we're going to get are a bunch of very stock and unoriginal archetypes and tropes.
But we all knew that was going to be the case going in, so the fact I'm complaining just means I'm M and I should stop watching to spare myself additional pain.
The way the artist draws eyes is over the top but cool. Random changes to black and white with one or two colors are imo interesting as well. But for the most part you're right. Though, Akuma no Riddle I enjoy because as my friend said "it's Everyone is Crazy: The Anime" and pretty hilarious at times. Just can't take it seriously.

lol i think ZNF is too serious on akuma riddle. It is obviously an anime for the lolz that is not going to be amazing or memorable (basically another spin off based on battle royale mixed with some other elements), probably will suddenly stop watching it when one is too busy. Can it be entertaining? It could be, that's why i downloaded 1-3 and will see how it goes.
