Sent's Gundam guide says season 2 isn't great, but it feels odd not to watch it since so much of season 1 is setting up season 2 plot points. + Show Spoiler + I thought Graham got pretty forced into becoming the "masked character" near the end of season 1. Fight animation was really good in 00 though.

The stuff in that link all looks nice picturewise I think I already made it a point 1 or 2 months ago but why is everything on the winter chart pink... But I thought there's nothing in the last season for me as well and ended up with 9 or 10 animes after week 3

Don't have the anime on my HDD anymore, otherwise I would have named the episodes now -.- I think that's fine, especially if you get enough about a character in an episode, and I think people like Yuri and Fei got some other stuff other than backstory (ie episode where Yuri is with Hachi's bro was interesting, gave him more texture than before and expanded on his relationship with his wife). Show nested quote + Or rather, it's about the show since it's straight to the point, if you know what I mean. It's "just do it". Edward is probably the best example. Joined when she wanted to, left when she wanted to. No endlessly dicking around and being "blabla". And the good thing is, you don't think they don't care. They do care but they have a strong will, so they do what has to be done/is the best for them. I also think this show was partly slice-of-life(it felt like that anyway) which contributed to the characters but took a toll on the plot. Well, the series is somewhat unique in the feeling it gives but since it wasn't particularly interesting, I rated it that way. Uhhh....no I kind of don't get what you mean. And pretty sure Planetes was more slice of life than Bebop was. @__@ Nah, I don't like it really when it's: "Hey, in this episode let's give this character some depth". That could have been done in a better way(or at least a way that I prefer). Wasn't that actually the episode about him? ^^'' Ah, it's been too long. Hmm, Edward is the best example. Pay attention to her when you watch it again. Or actually, you only need to watch the episodes where she joins and when the leaves(+ the one before with her father). They don't have those traits though, so it doesn't matter ![]()

While 'naked chat room' has always been an hallmark feature in gundam series, iirc 00 season2 brought it to a whole new level of all gundam animes rofl. All in all, S2 is fine, watch it if you have time otherwise prepare for some (rather) unsatisfying story especially after the second half of S2. And defo don't go near that 00 movie! (well unless you are looking for some gundam comedy)

I first watched Familiar of Zero when I was in middle school, and I loved the love polygon (octagon?). Now I'm in college, and I decided to watch it again since I was bored back home during winter break. Holy crap. I don't know why but I was crying watching the second season, and the character development is actually great considering the fact that many would easy classify it as another moe fag anime. It's the same thing, but after some aging I appreciated the series in a whole new way. I actually held off on watching Season 4 because I was too busy with my last year in high school, but I think it was well made for the short time frame it had. And I just had to smile at the ending. I wish they gave it a full 26 episodes though. What really hit me hard was that Noboru Yamaguchi had passed away in April 2013. He had yet 2 more books in the series to publish when he passed away. The anime ending is different from the novel ending. What I love is that while Yamaguchi worked on both the anime and the novel, they are both different and equally great. It's really depressing and sad that he passed away before he could finish ZNT, a trademark piece of his life. In the afterwards in Book 20, it sounded like he knew his time was near. He really wanted to squeeze the last two books before he went, but unfortunately it never happened. Supposedly the plot outline was finished by the Fall of 2012, so he knew how the story would finish. It's been couple months he passed away, and no news have come from MF Bunko J (publishing company with titles like Haganai and Hidan no Aria), who owes a lot of today's success to ZNT and Yamaguchi about ZNT. It's safe to assume that the series will "finish" unfinished, but there has been rumors that Yamaguchi gave the plot to a good friend of his to finish it for him. Yamaguchi was one of the few light novel writers/gal game scenario writers that hardly ever got bashed by Japanese netizens. His stories, mostly fantasy, is a lot like a fairy tale. While it incorporates a lot of the moe and ecchi culture, it has a special aura to it. It doesn't rely on a strong storyline and dramatic action, nor characters' appeal, but something else. He makes everything look shiny, just like a fairy tale. And it takes the readers and viewers back to their childhood form when we saw something shiny, we would smile with sparkling eyes and release breathes full of awe. While an energetic writer, Yamaguchi was never very healthy. Maybe it was his life and spirit that gave ZNT the spark it has. Rest in peace, Yamaguchi Noboru sensei. Please let me hear stories when I meet you later. (tl;dr ZNT is awesome. k thx bai) Edit: Absolutely embarrassing typo
