I actually rather liked the Japanese LA Death Note movie. Ending was kinda strange, and of course they cut out a lot of stuff for time's sake, but it rather did it justice as well as a movie could have.
Shane Black is a decent filmmaker, so I'm not worried on that front, and if he's not lying and is actually a fan of the material, I'm cautiously optimistic. That said, I'm often crushed by Hollywood's ham-handed attempts to make books/comics/games into films, and the only previous manga/anime adaptation from recent memory we have to go off of is Dragonball Evolution, so....
Yeah, not holding my breath.

+ Show Spoiler [Gunslinger girl] +Finished first season of Gunslinger girl. Well, it didn't explore it as far as I thought but they did a decent job at looking at their emotions and how they change and such. Elsa dying was pretty saddening. I was hoping that her handler will understand but doesn't seem like it. Angelica's handler being cold hearted until the end was painful to see. Seems that only Henrietta's handler and Triesa's understood the girls and were less about conditioning. Rico's handler was rough but it did seem that he got a bit better I think lol. Claes' story was also a bit sad but at least she was able to survive and thrive on her own. There was an episode or two that were pretty intense. Overall, would recommend it although it would've been better if they interwined some of the earlier episodes into one. It was also nice to see the girls get along together. Gave it a more home feeling for them I'm sure. Now for season 2 lol.

On a more serious note, I never gave names. Just said whoever recommended it to him at the time and if they knew the situation were cruel to do it lol

Half the reason the troll started was because people were tired of listing the exact same list of shows to people who are too lazy to even name a genre.

maybe he's crying from tears.

Of Joy? I would think people would either be extremely happy or disappointed with that ending.

The rollercoaster man... I'm not sure I've ever gone through anything quite like that in a tv show. I really enjoyed it somehow, too, which is weird since I was crying for like 4 episodes :/
I thought the ending took away some of the impact, actually, but I still liked seeing it.

There is a bit of a rollercoaster going on in AS, but I still prefer the ending they went with though

I prefer if they just ended it with + Show Spoiler +Ushio dying or another closing scene/ending .

In the earlier days of Key it might've been possible, but they've basically shifted entirely away from that. Not that I mind it, it got way too melodramatic when they did it in parts of Kanon. Also applies to Air and ONE tbh.

Yeah, if it just goes + Show Spoiler +Nagisa then his daughter dying then it ends it would be extremely depressing.
|
AIR didn't really have a happy ending.

I was actually pissed by the ending. Anyways i'm just the minority i should stop fretting about it and the ending wasn't that bad for most people.

Tomoyo After was a huge let down for me. Loved me some Tomoyo

That's the Tomoyo route from Clannad game. Tomoyo After is another game made as a continuation to that, basically a fully blown IF route.
Oh right Kudo Wafter was a thing too but pretty sure they didn't do anything melodramatic in that one.
In case mentioning ONE didn't make it clear enough, I am only referring to the games.
