Apart from the two main characters, it was pretty much everyone. It's one whole episode for their background and then nothing more. Don't have the anime on my HDD anymore, otherwise I would have named the episodes now -.-
I think that's fine, especially if you get enough about a character in an episode, and I think people like Yuri and Fei got some other stuff other than backstory (ie episode where Yuri is with Hachi's bro was interesting, gave him more texture than before and expanded on his relationship with his wife).
Or rather, it's about the show since it's straight to the point, if you know what I mean. It's "just do it". Edward is probably the best example. Joined when she wanted to, left when she wanted to. No endlessly dicking around and being "blabla". And the good thing is, you don't think they don't care. They do care but they have a strong will, so they do what has to be done/is the best for them. I also think this show was partly slice-of-life(it felt like that anyway) which contributed to the characters but took a toll on the plot. Well, the series is somewhat unique in the feeling it gives but since it wasn't particularly interesting, I rated it that way.

And pretty sure Planetes was more slice of life than Bebop was. @__@

Started watching Buddy Complex. So far seems good. Its like Gundam x Terminator. Or at least the first episode was. Also mildly amused at the female lead. + Show Spoiler +Main girl is voiced by Saori Hayami, and I'm pretty sure she dies at the end of the episode. I can imagine Ecael and/or Kaze making a joke about that lol

Buddy Complex sounds interesting and it's mech so bonus points. Probably will give it a try. I'll aim for Monogatari and SDs on the weekend or maybe SD tonight if I'm feeling up to it. I would watch Monogatari tonight instead but need to practice SCII for an upcoming tourney. Can't let down my fans lol.
edit: was waiting for Strike the Blood and Nagi. Too bad there aren't being released this week :/

you've been told that the monogatari order is either:
Bake -> Nise -> Neko kuro -> Mono2 or
Bake -> Neko kuro -> Nise -> Mono2 right?
Both are perfectly fine. I actually think the latter makes more sense and is a lot more viewer friendly as Neko kuro is a lot shorter than Nise, has something to do with Bake (it happens before Bake and explains a couple of things) but the first one, Nise before Neko, is the original aired order if I'm not mistaken.

+ Show Spoiler +She will be back in the future, and be on the enemy side (judging from images and OP etc), so she will probably have enough lines to not make Eca depressed. I wonder how the whole time travel shit works this time, if it has to end with her going back in time to save the MC and then dying.
What do you think of the mecha designs? I kinda like them actually.

Anyone here watched Bakuman? can anybody tell me if this show gets better in season 3?. For some reason I started to really dislike this show, by the end of the second season I just stopped watching it. I hate Miyoshi SO much, she is so fucking useless compared to everyone else in the show, does this person ever grow up to be something or does she just graduate from house maid to baby factory ? What about the dude and Maho? do they ever get anywhere with their bs relationship? do they finally stop it with that "We'll only be together once I have an anime and you're a voice actress" stupid crap?.
The stuff with the manga creation and all that I liked but all this quasi-romance really ruins it for me, if this stuff changes it for the better in the last season would be nice, so I'm asking if it does. If not then I'm better off not watching it.

Mecha designs are okay, nothing really remarkable about them so far to me.
