Main character didn't make sense, it's like watching a guy go through a visual novel and picking all the worst (or best depending on how you look at it) choices throughout to get the worst possible ending. And what's with the random backstory out of nowhere giving this guy an excuse to bang. Buildup to ending was ok, Sekai was manipulative and Makoto was being, well, Makoto. Satisfied that Kotonoha was vindicated (and insane), nice boat she was on. In my search for more bloodbath I ended up watching Higurashi no naku koro ni. The "retelling" approach they use is confusing and threw me off at first. Now I'm halfway through and have trouble sleeping. The "moe" certainly was deceptive. + Show Spoiler +I think I finally figured out it was Rika who was reciting the poems at the end of each episode. Can't remember being this creeped out and disturbed since I was five watching horror movies. It was as if I learned to fear the dark once again. what do you mean deceptive? higurashi was fucking adorable all the way through IMO

Umineko artwork is bad, but it isn't Higurashi-level at the very least lol. The PS3 patch for Umineko changes the experience of the game way too much, IMO. The Higurashi PS2 patch, although it does change the art, it also patches in music that didn't make the MangaGamer release due to licencing stuff. And Higurashi/Umineko music is top tier (and yet another crime the Higurashi anime commited, since the anime had shit music) what does it change other than the art? how exactly does the experience change? i'm planning on playing umineko over the next couple months or so

The art looks pretty, adds voices, adds CGs, things like that. Practically everything got a makeover. The main things that bother me are the new artwork, while they look prettier, don't capture the "feel" of the VN as much as the original art did. The original art has its own charm to it, and lots of people have actually grown to like it, despite its obvious flaws. I think all 8 episodes are done now, and in the past it was fairly buggy (like sometimes you will have the original art pop up next to the new stuff), but maybe thats been fixed now that they got all 8 episodes.
Whether or not you should read it with the patch or not is just dependent on how much of the original experience you want unchanged. If you are okay with a massively "fan enhanced" version, you could go with that, and honestly there isn't anything wrong with that. In certain cases, I can do that as well (Higurashi, for example). But when it gets to the point where it is almost a different game, due to how much has been changed, then I have to draw a line.

+ Show Spoiler [Stella Jogakuin Koutoka C3-bu 6] +Yura is being lured to the "dark side" more in every episode, and Sonora definitely picks up on it, but everyone else seems oblivious. Yura's fear of being left out makes her want to win no matter what, even if it means playing dirty (shooting Sonora while she was distracted). BTW Honoka is a scheming bitch lol
I like that this show actually tries to have a deep character drama, and doesn't go for the cheap "girls with guns" crap. Hopefully it picks up more in the next episode. The preview even called Yura a "tragic heroine."

Well I guess we can safely assume that Ferrose enjoys boobs

A (non)flat chest is fine too.

I have a feeling Ferrose would love Ryo kyu bu, lolicon heaven right there

So, for anyone watching the Fate/Kaleid series, has it reached any of the actioney parts yet? And if so, is the animation for them any good?

So~ here's what I've been watching for the past week.
I got bored, and decided to give two random anime that I had dropped a second chance. The first one was Chuunibyou, which I dropped after the first episode like a month ago. It's actually a lot more interesting than I thought it was/would be and I'm almost done with it.
Second one was Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn. I tried watching it like two or so years ago and dropped it around episode 12 or so. I've watched up to episode 32 now, and honestly, there are just way too many episodes that are filler-esque and accomplish nothing. imo five-year-old Lambo and Haru are the highlights of the show at the moment. I-pin's kinda funny too. Fuuta too cute. MC is annoying as all hell. Reborn's voice grates my ears at times.
I also decided to pick up Seitokai Yakuindomo last night. It's... okay, kinda. They go way too overboard with the lewd jokes. Just gets old really, really fast.
We shall see what random anime I decide to pick up next. Still waiting on this season to finish before I start watching the new stuff. ;<
Oh yeah, I also watched episode 1 of Railgun S1 (finally). The reason I've been putting it off for so long is because Shirai's voice irritates my ears like a mofo. 'lo and behold, after watching that first episode my ears were bleeding. Shame because I really wanna watch the series.

I'm not into loli's though. If anything, Aria is more my "type," but her jokes are just so baed.

B-but all the height jokes are great!

Probably gonna watch Aoi Bungaku next. I finished the first episode (finally) and it's pretty good!

That's one series it makes a ton of sense to just read the books lol, as it's just a collection of Japanese literature from 1900s.
