His "let me just keep getting beat up until you open your mind" approach just makes me facepalm and detracts from the experience (Just met the apprentice butler).
I really hope it changes because it is such a good anime T_T
There's a lot of characters like that in anime unfortunately. The way I deal with it is I just ignore it and hope it goes away.

I feel like I need to read Aiyoku no Eustia VN with a kanji dictionary and take like half a year <.< At least it has voice acting so those parts will be pretty easy... Or you could use a text hooker. Ah, feels like magic...

Just finished watching Shigurui
Wow, it was really great! At first, I was bothered by what looked like a slow pacing pacing... but at some point, I realized that it contributed ALOT to the tension. None of the fights lasted very long, but by dragging it, it kind of created a feeling of how desperate the fights were : a single mistake = dead.
Kind of sad that it didn't explain some of the stuffs shown in Episode 1 (This anime uses the "flashback" story)

Finally finished HnC Season 1, it was pretty decent. Had its moments here and there, although some of the characters made me rage. At least + Show Spoiler [ Honey and Clover] +Takemoto finally manned up at the end.
Off to season 2!

Yup, it was great. And I believe it's not very well known outside (definitely not mainstream). Also the art style was perfect for that kind of story. Anyway, glad you liked it.
Need to decide what to see next, didn't watch anything after that last Darker Than Black. So far I'm on "bad anime" losing streak, would be nice to break it.

Was wondering if there were any other good anime portraying the samurai era? Basilisk is recommended by MAL. Worth watching?

Clearly Samurai Champloo portrays the samurai era perfectly.

I heard the same thing actually after the first episode aired. I generally stay away from horror so I just didn't bother downloading.
*is scared*

Shiori is so nice. I liked the episode so much that I didn't even bother taking screencaps. Ah, what an episode. I've already slept since but I still feel the hnng.
Everyone should be watching HxH. Even if you don't like shonen, half the arcs are more in seinen category. (York Shin and Chimera Ant specifically.) I guarantee that it will be worth it. The execution, the writing, the animation, the shonen spirit, it's just great. Gon might be a little annoying at first but he actually has some real character traits.

Basilisk is rather unconventional so really aside from some names and referances here and there the historical relevance is pretty limited even less so when it comes to Samurai
For starters its about Ninja clans. But yeah it doesnt really have anything to do with Samurai iirc

I really liked Basilisk. I'd recommend it in general.

So Netflix seems to have added more Anime yet none are dubbed.
