Wait, actually I'm pretty sure was talking about Edolas arc and not Tenrou arc, as was talking about anime from ep 70s. Tenrou Island start around 100 IIRC.
Tenrou arc is more like Marineford (plot-device-wise, not quality-wise, obviously) anyway.

Went through Escaflowne quickly because it's one of those series I've seen but it's been so long I don't remember exactly what happens. A lot more romance plot and less mecha action than I had hoped for.

Just started working on my backlog after a few weeks of no watching, I'm on ep. 17 of Hyouka from a few seasons ago. A lot of people liked it and it has fantastic art and animation, but my lord it is boring the hell out of me...
