Since you seem to like Miyazaki, Kurenai no Buta is pretty good.
Kind of weird you like Jormungand but not Black Lagoon. Try finish that. The OVA (3rd season) is really good.
Durarara is kind of similar to Baccano (same author for LN).
Noir and Gungrave could be in your taste. So might Mahou Shoujo Madoka.
Not really similar to what you watched but might want check out Katantagatari and Haibane Renmei. You should check out Wolf's Rain, Dennou Coil and Oh Edo Rocket also and see if you like some other genres.
And Last Exile because it's amazing and I rec it to everyone.

ty! so fast and much, :o ill look them all up now

Well, most English in anime are cringe worthy... you get used to it after a while.

They are also anime where casual viewers thinks as "best ever". By listing them as your favorites, it doesn't really tell people alot about your taste except it's pretty generic, making rec anything but generic popular shows hard. Yeah i see how much of that stuff is pretty generic and i'm a casual viewer .
I think i enjoy big sci/fi universes where you feel like there's a lot of secrets to find out. EVA had a lot of this and Ergo Proxy too even though i didn't like some aspects of it.

I second Madoka Magica. We seem to like the same stuff, and it's one of my favorites.

I never really understood why people enjoy FMA/FMAB. A while back I would watch 10-13 episodes and try to get into it but I just couldn't it felt so mediocre and bland. Is it just me or am I missing out on something?

Don't watch it though, because it's the best thing that there is and your hopes and dreams will be crushed under all the emotions you will feel (and make you hate real life for being so fucking bland, ...)

It has a really clear plot progression that's attractive to people. And it's pretty well executed with interesting characters. I think it's a very good series even though it's not among my favorites.
People who like it really should check out Magi.

In my search for overpowered main characters I've come across a manga called "Onepunch-Man" (seinen, comedy) and it's freaking amazing. The art is great too.

If you looking for OP main char, Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari fits in pretty well.
And the new series Mondaiji tachi

This is a hilarious manga. ^^

After I stumbled upon this rather hypnotic video, I started watching Mirai Nikki - and I'm pleasently suprised.
Liked the opening (has been a while since I don't start skipping the opening after a couple of episodes of a series) and so far the series is pretty cool. The whole story allows for interesting scenarios and Yuno is just charmingly insane... :D So far I watched episode 17 and I got no clue where this is heading, ha. I like the pace of storytelling though, started off rather quickly and kept me watching. The duality of casual fun-ness and psychotic bloodyness somewhat reminds me of Elfen Lied.

Having read the manga I already knew what was going to happen. The ending isn't bad but it doesn't quite live up to the start it created. Then again, not many series do. + Show Spoiler +The end-part is a bit hard to understand so once you're done watching feel free to ask what happened lol.

Supposely One-Punch is getting serialized in Shounen Jump Alpha. I dont quiet understand this because One-Punch is seems pretty seinen with the guts and everything from the fight but beside that, there really isnt any blood or nudity. It seems like it falls in between a thin line between seinen and shounen due to it humor. It create a serious setting due to the death and evil villian but the main character so OP that it adds a weird humor to it. Wouldnt this series cause Shounen Jump problem for serialization in their manga since this is seinen series? Or can they censor stuff or ask the author to tone things down.

This fact is also why using those terms to describe the content of said anime/manga is completely meaningless.

Interesting @ Amnesia ep 3. Considering the structure of the source material this is going to be interesting, although I'm still not sure if there's an end to the means (ie. if there's a Refrain to the routes).

What happened in the latest Gantz chapter? + Show Spoiler +Why does the big blond alien know about kurono again? lol I feel like it was mentioned before but I can't recall

Hi all,
i'm looking for some specific recommendations, for which i feel the chart mentioned above the thread is not specific enough. I've watched quite anime in different genres. I really dislike going into genres, especially because i'm not comfortable using them. At the moment i'm looking for some absurd, slice of life kindof serie, without a very deep storyline. To give some examples of what i liked, here is the following list (in chronological order of watching), with some commentary to maybe specify what i'm looking for: gintama: absolute favorite ever, absurd episodes/very small arcs with sometimes a (quasi-)serious ending. Parodic elements are great as well. I'm not too good at recognising them, though. joshiraku: didn't get some of the jokes, but really liked the overall concept of people discussing a random subject going in random directions. nichijou: loved the artwork accenting some of the more absurd dialogues or events. lucky star, azumanga daioh
These are of course not nearly all anime i've watched, but i've mentioned the ones i thought to be relevant. Is there anyone who thinks there are some good suggestions? Unfortunately, i am very picky, so chances are i don't like it at all, but i'll watch at least a few episodes of suggested anime to be sure.

K-ON
Oops. You said absurd.
Arakawa Under the Bridge is pretty hit or miss, but I think it might suit your taste if you liked the above. Maybe Ika-Musume?
