One of the reasons I started watching was because I remember reading on another forum about Sailor Moon and someone mentioning how epic the series was after they watched it. Plus, I also remembered Artosis actually referencing Tuxedo Mask in the GSL. Obviously I must find out who Tuxedo Mask is ! I like the dub music and the voices (though I do know that most of them changes throughout the series, in the English dub). I'm really sad that Tracey Moore stopped voicing Serena/Usagi after the first 10ish episodes. Terri Hawkes doesn't sound too different at times but it is noticeably deeper than Tracey. Her voice is really good actually, and when in her Sailor Moon form, her voice deepens really well too. Her voice is also fairly unique IMO (well at least I haven't heard anyone else that sounds like her), and I like it when any character or VA pulls off a unique sounding voice if possible (makes the character more distinct) Here's her from the first episode: (I set the time to when she does her Sailor Moon line which is when she deepens her voice. Though I really like her regular voice a lot too, and you can hear her regular voice at the 3 minute mark.) . But yeah, Sailor Moon has been really enjoyable so far. Also despite Sailor Moon being around for a while, I never really watched the series or knew anything about it before. Serena's daily activities is just entertaining. Glad to hear they're thinking of redoing the series again in 2013. I'll probably comment more on the voices and stuff once I see more.

It seems fairly formulaic from what I can remember with the plot being similar to Power Rangers. Kid's daily lives, some sort of problem manifested in a monster, Sailor Moon and co defeat said monster. They learn a moral on how to deal with said monster. I'm guessing the later seasons are different as I know they introduce a bunch more Sailor scouts, but I can't see it being anything stand out except for nostalgia. Since I just started watching, I can't comment on what happens later in the series or the story. I just remember reading the Sailor Moon topic on another forum and remember reading a few people really liking it (after they watched the whole series, I forgot specific comments though). Plus, like I said, I'm just finding it fun to see the character's daily lives. I guess Sailor Moon, in terms of an anime that glues you to the screen because you need to find out what happens next , it's probably not one of those (at least so far, I haven't watched enough yet). Since it does have 150+ episodes, I assume it does get really deeper and/or interesting later on. Though even if not, I like series with a varied cast of characters with interesting stuff happening to them. It does follows the format of "Superheroes vs Monster of the Day" but (so far) I don't feel it's too formulaic because the new episodes are different enough that there's reason to watch. With Power Rangers (for example), it seemed like 20-30% of the episode content just involved fighting monsters, then fighting the bigger monsters with their mech (transformation sequence taking a while), so it gets old and a bit predictable at times. Not only that, Power Rangers (at least the first few seasons), the characters were relatively the same and didn't really grow or learn new stuff. While Sailor Moon does the same thing, the fights are much less lengthy and each episode's plot seems varied enough that it doesn't get too old or predictable. Also they did a good job of showing Serena's inexperience (and not making her magically experienced right away like other shows sometime do) in the first few episodes, and it makes me curious how she'll grow and develop as the series goes on. In terms of anime that I watched before (and any comparisons I could make), I watched Nanoha before (all three anime series) and Lucky Star. I also watched the Star Ocean EX (based on the second Star Ocean game) anime. There's also Yugioh, DBZ, and Pokemon for dubbed series. So the funny thing is, I haven't watched anything like Sailor Moon before (in terms of anime) which may be why I'm really enjoying it. I guess calling it "really good" (good like "others should watch it to, right now!") is a bit premature since it's mostly just me finding it enjoyable by purely the character's daily to day activities, and not from the main story yet.

I'm not even kidding. Good to hear. I definitely like the series so far, and I can't wait to get more into it. Only disappointment is that (for the dub) they had 3 different VAs for Sailor Moon (I like having consistent VAs for characters). I got a really really good first impression from the first VA (Tracey Moore) for Sailor Moon, so I think I'll miss her once I get into the episodes with the next VA (Terri Hawkes, then Linda Ballantyne).

But after watching Ep 2 and then maybe the first 5 min of Ep 3 you'll figure out why. That's probably the best way to do it to get a feel for what it is without spoiling the story. Ofc you can be a real trooper and watch all of them like a lot of us did. -.- I thought I was in a time loop, I went to bed and woke up and started the next episode.... then i got deja vu ~I guess ill just watch em all.

FMAB/EVA (and Death Note) are perfectly fine, though more people hate EVA here than it probably deserves. They are also anime where casual viewers thinks as "best ever". By listing them as your favorites, it doesn't really tell people alot about your taste except it's pretty generic, making rec anything but generic popular shows hard. If you like 08 MS team, try 0080 War in the Pocket. and Scrapped Princess, Wolf's Rain You might like Dennou Coil and Oh Edo Rocket Check out first two seasons of Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon might be good also
