If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.gg

For currently airing anime, please see Anichart.net

One Piece by far.

Ok thanks, I will look up one Piece!
If you want to explain it? Is it more like Naruto or Bleach?

To be honest, it's like neither. All I can say is that it's quite slow to start (for people who watch it for the first time). But once you get past a few episodes or get used to the art style (at the start anyway) you will fall in love with it.

I admit when I first watched it, I literally had to sit there and force myself thinking wtf is this crap. But I had lived in Japan for 2 months then (was like 17 xD) and was wondering wtf everyone was going nuts over One Piece. I just wanted to find out.

1 month and ~450 episodes later, I found out why.

I am actually planning on re-watching the whole thing. It's just a bitch to find all the episodes. But seriously, most amazing anime ever. Don't care what anyone says.

Ya the Arlong Park arc was probably the only decent arc early on. Everything after that was kinda slow until after Crocodile. I totally forgot about him. But I believe the Crocodile arc was after Sky Island so my assessment that things get better Sky Island is right I think.

No, the Baroque Works arc was the first one when they got to the Grand Line. Arcs went something like East Blue (highlighted by the Arlong Arc)->Baroque Works (Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, Drum, Alabasta)->Skypeia->Davy Back->Water 7, and so on (not gonna list them all). Usopp's arc in the beginning is a bit dull, Sanji's too, but Arlong and Loguetown were good. The entire Baroque Works arc was good. Skypeia was good although dragged a bit in the middle. loldavy back. Water 7 and onwards are all good.

Well they kinda' had to do some character dev for the main characters. Otherwise it'd turn into a Bleach/Fairy Tail where you have so many characters but don't really give two shits except your favorite one.

But I do admit they were dull also. I just tell people I recommended One Piece to wait until after the Crocodile Arc for them to either keep going or drop it (by then they usually just go on after having watched 200+ eps).

Yeah, of course they do. Character development is good. Its just, unfortunately the intro story concerning Usopp isn't very compelling. Sanji's has parts that is okay, parts that dragged, its been a while, IDK. But telling people to wait until after Baroque Works is a long time/alot to watch for someone to give it a try. If someone doesn't like One Piece after they watch the Arlong Arc, then thats when you can start dismissing their opinion imo. Because everything that happens after the Arlong Arc is good.

Not going to lie, I fucking hated Ussop for literally the entire One Piece season until Water 7.

Personally for me it took me until after Alabasta arc to actually start enjoying it. But as I just said to the other quote, I can literally go bad and almost cry at how good it is.

I'm such a OP fanboy. :D

Shit really does get real in Water 7.
Did you find any good sites for download, then? I'm stuck atm at 336 and the only episodes that I can find are spanish subs.. I've resorted to watching lowblob quality online but its not the same.

Of course Water 7 is good. Mizu(ki) Nana always the best.

silly TL time, it's not my birthday :x

I liked Tonari until it became a boring exchange of "I LOVE YOU" into "WAIT NO I DONT" while the other is the opposite. Aside from that garbage its ok tho.

Well the "I love you now, wait I dont thing isnt in itself unusual for sol rom's but the logic behind them is entertaining (albiet hard to relate to for some people).

http://tracker.yibis.com/index.php?page_number=23

Thats 382+ as far as I know.

http://www1.watchop.com/one-piece-episodes/

You can watch 480p (sometimes 720p) on that site until 382 (start downloading yibis). There are all the movies on there too.

are the movies worth watching? i have some downloaded but never really felt like watchign em

Personally, I enjoyed most of the movies. They were all nicely made. My favorite, of course is Strong World. But they are all worth watching.

Happy Birthday KH..

caught up with Tonari no Kaibutsu..

Its refreshing in a wierd sort of way. I though lovcom had it pretty good but this is even better.

Im enjoying Tonari the most this season.

Some of the lines Mizutani says hits home really really hard:
+ Show Spoiler +
"Can you at least respect my wishes? Otherwise I can't feel comfortable around you."

"It would be cruelest to keep your hopes up when I already know the answer."

Same exact stuff my gf would say. Same Exact Stuff. gg no re life.

Edit:
@Kaze, I heard you like Nana Mizuki, so here you go:

How did my semi-sarcastic one liner about Chuuni plot result in this??!

Sup, dunno if it gets asked a lot here, but what's the tl of anime?
Strictly speaking bout coverage, interviews with people in the industry, news, reviews, not shady streaming things.

Just want to ask anyone in here. I have seen Naruto/Bleach and i loved them both. Do anyone have any suggestions of which Anime i should watch next if i like Naruto kind of animes?

Happy birthday Kaze.

Maybe I should get you a microphone. Hmmm....

Also ZNF we need you to show up this Saturday. Apparently their randoms are actually sick 9-0 former C- players.
