Gundam Seed does the same thing.
And yes battlecruiser icon guy, that makes you a trapcon.

KYOU NO GO NO NI OVA.
This is like my third or fourth time watching it but it gets me every time. I'm so sad the TV series was not nearly as good; looked so forward to it then massive disappointment.
Kyou no Go no Ni OVA - turning minicon into lolicon since 2006.

Only Ecael will get this, but...
GUNDAM MURAMASA-STYLE HUEHUEHUEHUE
Edit: Ecael 10:21 am it'll be impossible to operate gundams then

Not killing people was a policy that was exclusive to 2nd half Kira and Athrun, and even then it wasn't that black and white. Their policy was more like avoiding killing people who didn't need to die. In their eyes, the soldiers on each side weren't really their enemies, they don't want to kill people who aren't their enemies. Naive, sure, but IMO it made sense for the plot. Kira wasn't even a soldier in the first place. + Show Spoiler +Kira killed Rau Le Cruset at the end of SEED, he killed Stella in Destiny, and pretty much any time they attacked a ship, they ended up killing alot of people (see when Kira attacked the Minerva in Destiny). So its not like they never killed anyone. Not to mention the good-guys outside of Kira/Athrun had no problem killing people.

Well I've caught up with the anime that interest me after my vacation leave and I have to say I'm really liking Steins;Gate. It's I feel, unique, has nice pacing, is interesting and I'm captivated by it's suspense and execution. Nichijou is also great. The randomness and hilarious situations in this anime are priceless. I've always liked comedy and I find myself roaring with laughter every episode. But I can't help but feel this anime is like a "love it/hate it" or a "hit or miss" type of anime for most people. TWGOK season 2 is as expected - worth the watch and HDD space. Gosick is progressing nicely into it's second half. I picked up Iroha based solely on tladt's recommendation and I'm still kind of torn what to think about it. Iroha is obviously a slice of life type of anime, but has a mature air around it. There's a fair bit of drama in there, but it's not too heavy. Ore-Tachi was a complete wild card for me. I've got to be honest and say I picked it up based solely on character design, but it turned out better than expected. The story lines are decent, and there is a lot of ecchi/comedy in it. One could also probably say the themes are varied and rather mature too.
Hen Zemi is weird and short, and I have yet to start on 1 other anime I was planning to watch based on tladt's recommendation - Moshidora.
Anyone else has any other recommendations for this season? Hidden gems? Comments? =|

Battle Girls time paradox
I heard it's pretty good!
aside from that you should give AnoHana a try. I'd label it as fairly heavy drama but so far it's been a great story

Yeah. It's so embarrassing to be a soldier that a teenage boy with no formal military training has to go easy on you. Better yet, you have to fight an enemy captain that's not trained to be one and who can only utter the line "EVADE!" during battle. Better yet, you're either with the superpower that controls the space territories or the earth and you can't take down a faction led by a teenage pop idol and a teenage tomboy.

I'm actually liking GoSick a lot more then when it started. First half of the season I didn't care for it almost at all, but now it actually keeps me entertained some what.
Others I'm watching this season that you didn't mention are Ao no Exorcist, Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai, and Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi. I recommend Ao No Exorcist and the wtflongtitle one. Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi is a super cliche harem that is nothing more then a time filler at best.

What the hell are you even trying to say? Why did you even quote me? I don't get it.
1.) Kira being a "teenage boy with no formal military training" is exactly the same as Amuro, and is one of the most common elements in Gundam shows. Amuro, Uso, Kamille, Loran, Garrod, Judau, etc etc are all like that. And it seems for whatever reason, you are just singling out SEED. Why is that?
2.) If you are talking about Murrue, then your knowledge of stuff that actually happened in SEED rivals that of Kaal's knowledge of SEED. Which means you probably didn't really watch it, since I can't even understand why you would even try to exaggerate a claim like that, unlike your other two statements.
3.) If you are talking about the end of Destiny, then I don't care to argue, since Destiny was shit. If you are talking about just SEED, then you are showing Kaal-level knowledge of what actually happened in the show.

I'm singling out the newer gundams with the no-kill policy. Garrod was an AC pilot. Amuro eventually became a military officer, and the rest were pretty kill happy despite saying how much they hated to kill (If you didn't get close you wouldn't have died!). So we cannot say that they held back when fighting.
Yes, I'm talking about Murrue. She's more of a motherly figure than a captain. She acts on intuition, and things worked out just because. Yes, I'm exaggerating it, but that's just how it works with sarcastic remarks.
I quoted you because you misinterpreted my previous statement. I'm just saying that I'm not dismissing Kira as a hypocrite, I'm dismissing the show as ridiculous.

I'm not dismissing Kira as a hypocrite, I'm dismissing the show as ridiculous. Lets take Turn A Gundam. Loran wasn't kill happy at all. He fought battles through the entire series in nearly the exact same manner as Kira did, when Kira decided not to kill people unless necessary. So what are your views on Turn A, then? I don't know what you mean about Garrod being an "AC pilot".
You say you are singling the newer Gundams out for their no-kill policy. And then you start making fun of SEED, since it has a kid with no military training being much better than trained pilots. And using this as an reason to call SEED ridiculous is hypocritical, since its a common theme in many Gundam shows. Or maybe you are just talking about how Kira started to "hold back" against enemies? IDK what your point is anymore.
Your exaggeration on Murrue is just too much. Saying all she yells is "evade", when she probably yelled "LOHENGRIN, FIRE!" more often, kinda kills that point. I don't see how "she acts on intuition" is the same thing as "all she does is yell 'evade'!".
edit: Okay, I think I get what you are saying. Its not the "without military training" part you are focusing on, but the "holding back" part you are focusing on?
