There's no point going on about how "everything is based on haki" except to be an ass. I remember when that kind of discussion happened and I hope such things do not repeat. He also said a bunch of other mean things, like Ace shouldn't have been born, which doesn't mean it's true. I actually find the Dragon-fruit discussion interesting. It was clearly said the dragon fruit Momonosuke ate was manmade(so probably a copy) and a failure. We still don't know what exactly the failure of the fruit is, but if it was supposed to be the most powerful mythical zoan type fruit known to man, that would explain why just turning into a dragon would be a failure. It makes sense to me at least, if I would pay millions of money for an attempt to copy something, might as well copy the most useful/awesome thing I know of just in case it works. A lot of "ifs", but I think it's coherent with what we know already. Mythical zoan fruits exist, marcus has the phoenix-fruit. there is some kind of catalogue of devil fruits, as was mentioned in the manga. I think Blackbeard was said to have chosen his darkness fruit before he actually got his hands on the real one. And the manga has been pretty close to RL mythology so far, with the phoenix being a fire bird and the western dragon(s) on punk hazard breathing fire, having huge wings and flying. | ||

You are severely underestimating the amount of punk hazard chapters. Jus because they reached PH foesnt mean it's to catching up with the manga. Ph has actually about 50 chapters now which means it's one of the biggest 1 island arcs so far and equals about 1 year of releases if you include frequent breaks. So anime is still 1 year behind which is standard for both op and naruto, dunno about bleach because i dont watch it but i guess it's about the same there. | ||
