She used the Strawhats as an excuse to come to Wano. Then used them as an excuse to team up with Kaido. Now she can attack him when he's not expecting it. Officially, she is still in the dark about what happened on Whole Cake Island and how Sanji saved her and the Island. If the truth about what happened leaked out, she might see the Strawhats favorably. Her dream is Whole Cake Island and One Piece is all about trying to achieve dreams. So how did Jimbe escape her? Maybe they all just swam away, fishmen do have a huge advantage in escaping, but could it be that Jimbe talked with Big Mom? Pudding could have confessed what actually happened. Katakuri could vouch for Luffy. A lot of ways for Big Mom to find out the truth of what happened and completely change Big Mom's opinion on Luffy. She also doesn't see Luffy as a personal threat (he tried his best and couldn't do any damage at the time) like she probably does with Kaido. That only puts Blackbeard or Shanks on her level and they're still newbies compared to her. Teaming with Luffy and killing Kaido puts her in that #1 spot. | ||

Teaming with Luffy and killing Kaido puts her in that #1 spot. the straw hats tried to kill her, ruined the cake she was looking forward to so much to (even if they replaced it) made a giant mess in her home, made her lose face by beating her crew and getting out alive with the world watching, ruined her aquisition of Germa and Ceasor (effectively destroying her dream) shes got plenty of legit reasons to be super pissed off at them and teaming up with Kaidou does help her achieve her goals too | ||

Just from a power political perspective that's what I'd instruct Drake to do, then swoop in with an Admiral or two and clean up the winners to kill two birds with one stone and take control of Wano. | ||

We've been introduced to so many new characters in Wano, that it's hard to care/keep track. There's the old yakuza bosses, the Orochi Shinobi, the fat demon looking things in Kaidos crew, and now the flying 6? Who are all these people? Is Oda just adding characters to make the fight more "epic"? Most of them won't even get screentime, IMO. | ||
