Yes, sending them both into the future where the country has 20 years of rule by Kaido and his puppet who hates his family is inherently safer as opposed to faking your deaths and going into hiding in the present. Its a shit choice either way.

Not really, she could had sent one to 10 years and the other to 20 years. Or 30 years. Or enough years that no-one would ever care or remember them. Or any number of years. There's no justifiable reason to have one break out of a beseiged castle with a high chance of death and the other teleport to the future with a high chance of survival, realistically speaking.

TBH we don't really have a good idea of how her fruit actually works. The reason she only sent one to the future could be some limitation we don't know.

That's true, but we absolutely know that she could send X number of people to 20 years in the future. Seems a bit odd if there was a restriction of only 1 child but not 2 children, but several grown men is fine. At least we know who is her favourite child.

Yeah she could've sent her even just a year into the future and it would have been safer. It doesn't really matter anyway because it doesn't change the story much.

I think if more information is known about the present (even if the information's value is bad news) it makes it safer (more predictable). Feels definitely safer to have top level vassal like Kawamatsu escape with one, instead of sending them one year ahead when who knows how Wano looks.

Also, I think, something else is also at play here: sending someone too far into the future means they are stuck there. So if there's something 20 to 30 years in the future you shouldn't send anyone 50 years ahead. And then also too much into the future means noone remembers them it doesn't just give them safety -- it also nullifies their chances of getting back to the throne of the country. And once sent there, they will be stuck, they can't come backwards.

I think the distribution and choices made sense for shonen standards. But of course it was all just in service of the story, which I think was neat so perhaps I shouldn't comment as I might be partial.

It seems like every other fruit enables you to make clones of yourself. I honestly didn't see the Kanjuro thing coming. I think he's gonna have a redemption arc during the final battle.
