In the beginning of OP, the powerful characters were mostly devil fruit users, due to the fact that they had eaten devil fruits. Turns out just eating a devil fruit to gain powers doesn't really cut it.
Yep that's how i see it.. if you are just fodder you get stronger with a DF, if you are really good it's just something usefull but not the most important!
But imagine if you are really good but don't have conqueror's haki, maybe it improves you a little bit

Armament probably came right around Water 7. Garp's fist of love. I think Oda realized that he made Logias too damn powerful after Enel. It was either give everyone seastone weapons in the New World or create a way to attack Logias without being their natural weakness (Haki).
Edit: Also that brief flashback to Sabaody Archipelago gave me such Nostalgia. I absolutely loved the old Straw Hat character designs and the more grounded feel of the old chapters.

Well zoan fruits open up possiblities like more reach, hybrid forms and just general more brute strength. Lucci was saying that the more you train as a Zoan, the more the effects are multiplied. Plus, awakened Zoan means that you just regenerate so quickly.
Also, chopper's fruit. Lots of usefulness there.
I can see Zoan fruits as being worth eating. I wonder if Kaido and his men have awakened fruits.

I mean they're built up to be the most powerful Zoan users, and Kaido is a massive step up in power from Doflamingo. If the Yonko at least don't have awakened fruits then that just seems silly.

That really makes me want to get more info on the other Human Human fruit, the Daibutsu model.
I wonder if a human who ate Chopper's model and gained enlightenment would gain some super insane power from that.
