Zoans are definitely the least versatile fruits unless you get something totally baller like Phoenix or Dragon

I'm sure you can find some paramecias that are shittier but they seem to offer the most creativity

Zoans would be more valuable if normal bodied humans couldnt perform superhuman feats of speed, jumping, strength, etc.

yeah the appeal of transforming into a massive dinosaur seems to be reduced a lot because weve already seen small guys like luffy or zoro literally bring down buildings with a single punch or swing of their sword. you have to put things into perspective though, characters like luffy or zoro are in the top 1% even in the one piece world. the rest are more closer to average humans and if you were to go up against any moderate sized animal, let alone a dinosaur, as a human then youre pretty dead. so it makes a lot of sense that the beast pirates are extremely formidable; even their fodder characters can easily go 1:1 against most of their enemies.

I honestly don't get how yonko can just one shot characters like luffy and queen.

We've seen akainu go head to head with whitebeard and make it alive and face 14 WB commanders + 2 shichibukai. However before that he was facing marco. If yonko can one shot YCM then akainu should've one shot marco as well. Just lot of inconsistencies within one piece right now regarding power level.

Akainu survived his encounter with Whitebeard, but he did not look like he was on the dying old man's level while the encounter was happening, Marineford Akainu is probably roughly on a Queen or Dogtooth level? Not like either of those characters wouldn't get smashed by Big ol Mom

Well Marco was like the #1 in the WB so comparing him to Queen is not that good of a comparison. There is usually clear distinction in power between the #2's in the crew and other commanders. Marco is also very durable with his unique fruit. We also have barely begun to see the fight as it remains to be seen if Queen was "1 shot".

Akainu also got bodied solidly hard by a dying WB and the only time you ever saw fear from him. Not really inconsistent at all.

i don't feel any sense of danger or urgency ever since dress rosa. it's like there is absolutely no consequence. no one will die any way. how convenient that queen sets up a training for luffy and big mom somehow gets to the prison mine for luffy to easily break out of the prison? was expecting some creative will power break through via extreme torture.

Kaidous entire crew has just been conveniently incompetent the whole arc, pretty big difference after seeing moms crew

It does kind of fit the man in the charge, though. Kaido isn't exactly the most reasonable or disciplined person either. Big Mom, on the other hand, was quite shrewd about things like political marriages, pressuring people to do her will, and building what was essentially a country. Very different personality, and therefore a different crew. I don't mind it.

Agreed that the difference in pressure in part comes from Kaido running basically a bandit group where everyone more or less works alone. Big Mom took personal offense by people intruding her country, Kaido just doesn't really care.

I think Orochi could be less of an incompetent comic villain, but I think it's generally fine that there's a bit of change in pace, makes those arcs more different. The setup is very similar after all.

That smile only produces dinosaurs is a bit boring though, since that reduces the number of things they can do instead of increasing them.

pretty much, the beast pirates are just strong people subjugated by even stronger people so theres a severe lack of organization or people who know how to do anything but fight
