Luffy's supposed to be close to them now in terms of strength and yet here we are. resistance isnt immunity and this is still a manmade virus, plus its not like hes actually died from it yet | ||

I just want to get to the end already, i dont care about all the stupid samurai who will be no help anyway cause its one piece and they are there to make luffy go SSJ. Doesnt help that with all the breaks and i dont even really remember the backstories of half of them. Who is that girl with Zoro, i thought that was the girl who turned up to be a man samurai last chapter. | ||

Which she uses to support the old royalist faction in her country to put her brother on the throne. Seriously though, Kumorosaki/Hiyori is probably among the top 3 screentime characters of all the new characters especially in recent chapters. | ||

Because viruses use vital metabolic pathways within host cells to replicate, they are difficult to eliminate without using drugs that cause toxic effects to host cells in general. The most effective medical approaches to viral diseases are vaccinations to provide immunity to infection, and antiviral drugs that selectively interfere with viral replication. I'm not sure chopper can actually cure luffy per se. He can basically inhibit/stop the replication of the virus by creating a very specific antiviral drug (which would take years of research in the real world) but it's basically up to luffy's immune system and the antibodies it produces to kill the virus. Remember, vaccines provide immunity to infection but they don't do anything to cure you. Basically, luffy just has to get over it himself.... interested to see how Oda solves this. Thinking about it some more, this kind of synthetic virus that has no real "cure" and continues to replicate (i.e. HIV, herpes) is probably the kind of thing that Roger had... | ||

That being said, I hope Kaido vs Big Mom isn't cut short immediately, I'd enjoy seeing some real fight scenes with the two juggernauts giving each other some real haymakers til they're inevitably united against Luffy or something. Such a sweet ending to that chapter though, and it makes me wonder who they were crewmates for, it feels like it's always Roger but they're too old for that, so who would've been a Grand Daddy Pirate for them to be under. | ||

By the way, Kaido is probably the coolest character design in One Piece so far. Every panel with him in it looks amazing. | ||
