At the end of the invasion, after the Soldats appear, we see Bazz B all burnt to a crisp. Yeah, people are dumb for not grasping Kubo's made up notion of science. But it was vacuum multi-layered ice, dude.

Is it physically possible? look right, Fire needs oxygen to burn, so Baz must ahve just burned up all the oxygen before CCs fire could kill them then had Stenreitter O (for Oxygen) replace it all before anyone realised

so many made up on the spot powers, nothing in the entire manga even trying to resemble a coherent structure abilities adhere to, just ... wow someone tell kubo that broken powers =/ strong powers all these sternritters don't feel threatening, they're just as randomly op as an alien invasion against the bleach world by an uberrace would be naruto is bad too but not on this level of suck

I think this post hits the nail on the head. The pacing of the chapters has slowed down considerably... if I had to draw the pacing of this arc (with reveals and story progression [i.e. anime time progression] vs chapter number) on a graph it would start exponentially rising, plateau during the quincy invasion and then sharply dive down to reflect the last 10 weeks or so (the 5 week break doesnt help). There is only one way I can make sense of the fact that Kubo hasn't given us a treat after such a long break. I don't think he worked on the story during the break, I think he worked on the storyboards and designs for the re-start of the anime....

The easiest and most depressing explanation would be that Kubo did not yet know how absurdly powerful the Sternritters would turn out when he had the idea of them stealing bankais.
