I'd bet more on money having been exchanged to not tear it apart, or it is genuinely a tepid experience if you aren't invested in the drama surrounding the movie. You could be right too though, I didn't check to see if they were all men or if there was a disparity between male and female critics

It's like a love letter to video games, i swear one scene in that movie was straight from CoD: Modern warfare, lol. Not anything special by any means, but if you're into the kind of non stop over the top action movies like Crank you'll get some enjoyment from it. Had a meme or two also, so meta!

Actually, I do think that this movie is something special. Haven't seen anything like this before and I really did like it! Edit: Triple 9: I've seen that movie last night and - apart from the great cast - it was pretty underwhelming. The whole story about the cops that break the law because they're blackmailed by the russian mafia was interesting, at least on paper. The movie itself is, unfortunately, really boring. No development, no twist, plus an awful ending and an overall lame script give a away a lot of great potential. Ant-Man: When I first saw the trailer I thought to myself: "What a piece of garbage..." Now that I've seen it I have to admit that this movie was quite entertaining. The whole story revolves around this guy who has the power to - you probably know it - control ants and shrink himself to the size of one... but there are also the evil guys who want to use this technology for their own good. The movie had some good laughs here and there but you'll probably forget this movie as soon as you are done with it.

I saw it and enjoyed it I remember a few years ago they made a short clip and thought that that was pretty cool, didn't think they would get Sharlto Copley to play in it :D It's obviously a bit over the top, in a different way than American movies, but there were also some touching moments and a bit of satire. I recommend it! Demolition with Jake Gyllenhaal as the widower trying to make sense of his life is another movie that I found to exceed my expectations. It's the story of a man breaking down, understanding and coming to terms with what has happened and "rebuilding" himself...
