+ Show Spoiler + I just felt that there was no suspension of disbelief (likely using the term wrong, but whatever I'm tired). Everything that Nolan had built up through the two previous movies got kind of thrown out of the window. Only two of the central characters (Bane and Batman) felt believable and genuine to themselves. Everyone else were either just put into the story to get it somewhere or didn't fit in whatsoever. Christian Bale was as solid as ever. You watch a movie with this man and you know he's going to give a good performance. Tom Hardy is far and away the star of the movie, even if Bane got sort of thrown aside when closing in on the end. Definitely on the same level as Heath Ledger's legendary performance as the Joker in TDK. Anne Hathaway did a good job with what she was given (I despised Selina Kyle in this movie), but I just don't accept her as part of this universe. I'd rather seen a much more serious actress, although I'm not sure who I'd cast. Might edit if I come up with someone.I also felt that the character was poorly written and didn't agree with the decisions taken by her. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (spelling?) is one of the actors I despise most in this world. I can't buy anything he says. I don't think he sells his character to me. That said, his character was complete dog shite that just appeared and helped everyone and knew everything that was needed at the perfect times. Should have been killed when he approaches <if you've seen the film, you probably know what scene I'm talking about*>. Not to mention that he was thrust into the main character's position for most of the movie and the stupid fucking reveal towards the end where we find out who he "really" is**. Marion Cotillard was splendid throughout the film, although her character took a turn to the worse the last half hour or so*. Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman all gave excellent performances, as expected. The first half of the movie was great, even with some scenes being really stupid and unnecessary, but the second half didn't feel believable at all when held up with the previous films. Not sure what else to say, but I want to point out that I think it's a good film. It's just easier to remember the parts you dislike, especially considering how much I hate the ending****. It's good, but should have been so much better. *The Bridge scene. **He's Robin. ***Suddenly she's Talia al Ghul and was the child that climbed out of hell. ****Oh, Bruce Wayne survived a nuclear explosion? Fuck everyone involved in the making of that scene. Congrats if you made it through that rant, and have a nice day.

Saw it based on TL recommendations. Dunno if I got trolled. At least I now know where the phrase "You're the man now dog" (YTMND) came from. Out of the 2+ hour film, there was about 30 minutes I found enjoyable. Rollerball (1975 version) 5/10 Only saw it because of its regard as a "sci-fi classic". I like how nearly every shot in the movie had a meaning behind it. However, much of the movie felt uninteresting to me. The actual rollerball game scenes were the highlights. The backplot about the corporations controlling the world and wanting to change the game to kill off a popular star in the progress was mildly interesting. Watch it if you're someone who wants to see it as part of the history of sci-fi movies, otherwise feel free to ignore this one. A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas 7/10 I loved the original, the sequel was a let down, but this one was on par with the original in my opinion. I wish I could have seen this in theatres as the 3D experience. And I wish I still could enjoy getting high. It brought back a lot of memories of my old best friend from college Jon and I. He introduced me to the original Harold and Kumar as well as his love for getting high. Anyways... this movie simply was fun and hilarious. I loved WaffleBot too. Amadeus 7/10 An excellent dramatized story about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, told through the eyes of a bitter and jealous composer during the same time period. Well acted and well directed. You'll gain a new perspective on classical music, and a new appreciation for Amadeus talent after watching this movie. The only thing I didn't like was that I felt this movie dragged on a little too long at parts (it's nearly a 3 hour film). Cropsey 7/10 Saw this thanks to TL Recommendations here. An interesting and well executed documentary about unraveling how the folk tale was spread in Staten Island and the creepy resemblance it had to missing children cases. There also is a subplot of following Andre Rand, who was accused of being a part of the child abduction and killing that was going on. There's interviews with many people who were intimately engaged with the case, but the evidence is inconclusive, and it leaves the decision up to the viewer whether Rand was actually guilty or just a scapegoat. The Burning 5/10 Turns the tale of Cropsey into a generic slasher flick. A young Jason Alexander (George from Seinfield) has his first acting role in this movie. Not much to say about it. It's entertaining, but not very creative, gory, suspenseful, or scary. Like I said, it's just an average slasher film.

![]() Basic Plot After a little white lie about losing her virginity gets out, a clean cut high school girl sees her life paralleling Hester Prynne's in "The Scarlet Letter," which she is currently studying in school - until she decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing. I kind of liked this, reminded me of how much high school was silly in the face of lies, and well it was a nice thing she did in a way and well..Emma Stone :3 nom. An Easy 7 out of 10 Basic Plot Believing the quote that you are born alone, die alone and everything else is an illusion, George doesn't see the point of life, school, or homework. Then he meets Sally and he now has a reason to go to school and make friends, even if he's not ready to admit to himself or to her that he likes her. The school's principal and art teacher introduce him to an alumni, and successful artist, Dustin, who can help guide George along life's path, but other distractions start surfacing, and George might not even be able to graduate from high school. Was a touching story, i don't know why i came to watch it i just did, and well it was great, a proper love story which i don't normally watch..but seemed to hit home very well, truely under rated imo. 8 out of 10, worth a watch!
