So i guess its really just me, i rewatched the episode last night and it struck me really hard, under that hair and dirt there is this really hot girl.

I have a request. Could someone please send me a PM describing why Eddard doesn't want Robert to know about Jaime/Cersei relationship and their children?(this is seen when Robert is dying and Eddard is with him)
Eddard is honorable so it might've been to protect Cersei, but wouldn't be more honorable to tell Robert the truth?
Thank you in advance.

Had to google who that even was. Definitely not, LOL. Whatever floats your boat =P
So I pretty much watched 2 episodes a day until last Sunday and completely caught up on the series in 4 days. Now that I have to wait my first week, this is just horrible. Jesus, how did you guys do it x_x
Books are coming in soon, I guess. Hurry up Amazon.

Martin said the actress playing Osha is definately more attractive than he imagined her in the books, but also that he even liked it more than he originally wanted her to look.
Thats the best i could find of her:

Well...not the look i would fall for..but otherwise maybe a liitle bit tooo pretty to be a wildling....though on the other hand, being a wildling doesnt necessarily disqualify a certain attractiveness.

This is getting completly off topic :-)
How ever i am happy that RR martin agrees with me it makes me feel less alone ;-)
Its not 'classic' beauty but she has a certain appeal dripping of her face.

If i remember it i will take a screenshot of ep 8. Anyway she has a fan
To go back on topic:
The metallic sound you could hear was -at least what i think- the killing that was happening in the tower of the hand. Not the fight of the waterdancer versus the white cloack.

Basicly he explains this when he is talking to Varys in the dungeon. He was trying to spare Cersei's children. Ned warned Cersei to leave before Robert returned from his hunt, because he was going to tell Robert then, and Robert would hunt Cersei and her kids all down and kill them.

I dunno..i certainly thought it was from Syrio and Co. And from the sounds, it sounded like Syrio was kicking butt, not dying. There was a lot of metal hitting the ground...and Syrio wasn't wearing any metal.

Still the sound you hear sounds like metal to metal in my ears. That will make me believe its not Syrio hammering with a wooden sword or Syrio getting hits. Will watch again tonight, not that will bring a conclusion.
on a side note: i ofc looked up what martin had to say about Osha
Martin has noted that her performance completely knocked the socks off of himself and the producers, so much so that he suspects her performance may lead him to expanding Osha’s role in the series.
me and martin, we could be friends ;-)

What most likely happened was that Syrio got hold of one of the guards swords, thereby producing metal-on-metal clank sounds afterwards, hopefully kicking guard-butt.

Here's a thought, if you were sent into this universe (Evil Dead style), what technological advances could you grant to the world. For personal gain or not.
I can think of so many things (Passable knowledge of Historical architectural works used for water/waste transport etc), but mainly reinventing gunpowder and guns, which is easier than you might think.
The things my brain does to keep me awake for an hour when it's time to go to sleep.

Totally agree on the Arya part, it seemed like she accidently pushed a sword through a whole belly. I think you need to push rather hard for that. Either really make it look like an accident OR make her really kill him. (i prefer the last one)

Also a wound in that area of the body takes a fair amount of time to cause death, yet the boy just falls over. It's the age old if you touch a sword you either get a small scratch, or just die syndrome of TV Series/Movies that have swords.
Not that I'm complaining, it simplifies quite a few things.

Ever heard of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acute_stress_reaction or "shock" ?
