He also becomes a total and utter villain; there were very little to like in the character, now there is nothing at all. He is a heartless cunt, and he has proven to be totally weak. In many ways, he is the absolute anti - Jon Snow. He puts himself and his ambition above everything else, is totally rigid in a bad way, but at the same time without any moral boundaries, and that's why he is such a shit leader. About Mereen... Now I guess the logical thing would be for everyone remaining in the arena to die, but of course it won't happen. They got the husband conveniently killed, though. I fail to understand how those harpie sons are so damn strong. If they were the masters, so basically some kind of Mereen bourgeoisie, how come they are so well trained, and how can they fight so well with those heavy, inconvenient carnival masks half blocking their vision? And Jesus, can't Dany gets some more soldiers to protect her when there is a full scale insurrection trying to get her assassinated at all time? Oh and by the way. If they all can get masks and spears into that damn arena (no control?) how come none of us brought a god damn crossbow? Danny was exposed the whole time. It's not that hard really. Just shoot her in the face with that projectile weapon, GG Targaryans kthx.

Like, she showed fairness by having whoever executed publicly. She reinstates the games. Doesn't declare martial law. Oh, and abolished slavery in the city. Marrying this fucker. Dragon public safety concerns. Deals with it. Dead homey was right. Shoulda just killed all those master fucks. Those assholes will just never learn. They just want her dead, the unsullied dead, so they can train and breed dragons. Two motherfucking dragons, right there, begging to be acquired. Like, wow. How do you forget that shit?

Stadium security leaves something to be desired as well. The Unsullied guards apparently didn't notice 200 men strolling into the colosseum with weapons and those huge masks hidden under their dresses. Also, a rapier is not a slashing weapon, a spear is not a javelin, and rolling into a spearman is suicide. The only thing I liked during the whole colosseum scene is that the dragon is not invincible (yet?) and can be pierced by spears. Speaking of being impaled: Daenerys held on to the dragon's spikes to climb on his back, then sat down on them. Ouch! Come on, Game of Thrones, you can do better than that. The writing has always been so good and inconsistencies like these didn't use to happen.

If it were the masters they should have been scared straight by Dany's little dragon demonstration. Like, who's going to run the coup if they're dead, right? The idea is to be alive at the end of a successful coup. They'd do something else. The ex-slaves, they don't like, hate Dany nuff to collude with their former slavers do they? Ofc not. Freedom is nice. Sure, they'll hiss and throw fruit but, kill her and wipe out her material to go back to slaving? Like, where's the leadership coming from? Who's organizing things in the aftermath? If they were so organized why not just kill the masters and present terms to Dany from a position of strength? Is there a major player that we haven't been (properly?) introduced to yet?

It cant be just the masters tho, the Harpies how as having large numbers repeatedly and I dont think there were enough masters in Mereen for this. Especially since they probably arn't as willing to lay down their lives for their fellows. I would guess a large part of the Harpies are in fact slaves. Yes siding against Dany doesn't make logical sense but these people have not known a different life for generations. The oppressed rebelling against those trying to free them happens even in our own world to this day.

Its entirely possible the place Dany sat was normal. After all, the previous rulers didn't have to fear an armed uprising.

-whittles down her immediately accessible materiel (unsullied) -stops? doing that for, like, no reason upon the dragon demo and/or Dany garrisons them. We aren't told. -if no patrols in order to conserve materiel, iunno, it depends and then -major bloodletting (gratuitous) and hardcore assassination attempt immediately upon presentation of first opportunity what doesn't happen: -Dany declaring martial law -previous assassination attempts (Mereen) -allies of note presenting themselves. surely folks in power know about the girl who walked into fire and came out with thwee dwagons, yes? Like, she has to be the biggest target in the world of Westeros, yes? And, like, stuff has been pretty smooth for her. And then this happens. The game has changed. It's almost as if people lurking in the shadows were waiting for her to fail, saw that she wouldn't, and then stepped in to make sure that she did. No power base to build from; in fact, tear down everything that she did in order to create a negative association. No pulse. Dragons ours. GG NO RE. But then a dragon falls out of the sky.

And yes Dany is a big target but we keep being reminded of how the world has bigger issues. The 7 kingdoms dont give a crap about Dany since they are in a bitter civil war. Bravos seems to care for no one but itself, Dothraki dont care for anyone but themselves, and the cities around slavers bay belong to Dany atleast in name. We have been told her hold on them is fragile at best and the Harpies probably receive support from them but there is no 'other threat' working against Dany that we have been told or alluded to. Someone before mentioned the Iron Bank but what reason do they have of going after Dany? Their main concern atm is getting the Crown/Lannisters to pay them and if anything Dany is their best chance after Stannis.

Yeah I can see Dany going full on Mad King after this and murderer a few ten's of thousands to get her point across. Tyrion's advise will probably play a very key role in what her next move will be.

The Dorne storyline - what a waste of screen time. Two 'Murican characters randomly team up to travel to Dorne with no supplies, inside contacts, or knowledge of the area, to improvise a "rescue operation" on the fly. The kind of operation that ignores any resultant political repercussions, like jeopardising the objective of the arranged marriage, and potentially starting a war. But it's all good; the are 'Murican. They will wing it, and do it with style, attitude, and humour. But it's okay; I can accept the terrible premise and execution if something interesting comes out of it. Nope! Ellaria gets a slap on the wrist, Jaime gets a mild scolding, and Bronn wonders whether he got lost on a sitcom set. Everyone forgives each other, the ties of friendship are now stronger, it was all a big misunderstanding. Cue laugh track, still frame, roll credits.
