Technically, it's illegal, and thereby against site rules. Even though many of us would pay legally were it a reasonable option for our location/living situation. (Can't legally get show without cable sub... and really, who gets TV at all anymore if you aren't a sports fan?)

GRRM just posted on his blog that the episode will last 116 minutes, but everywhere on the internet it's written 66minutes... who's right ?

This one will go 116 minutes, it says. Cool. 116 minutes? I thought it would be just a bit more than 1 hour 66 Minutes I think. 116 minutes would be too long.

No. Why would it?

well, the 10 episode per season is too little, but it's such an expensive show, I don't know if they have the cash to do more than that

Well I could see how it being unnecessarily rigid could be a problem but mostly just for fans who want more faster.

(PM = private message)
I'll just torrent it if not but I don't want to stay up that long and I don't want to throttle my internet.

To access HBO GO℠, you must reside within the fifty states of the United States of America. Despite what my tag says, I'm not in the 50 states or a minor military base or US embassy.

You also have to pay for HBO GO, it's definitely not free.

If anything it has helped since GoT has done nothing but gain in viewership every single season because you have an entire year of hype and waiting.

Now you do! LotR really sets the bar at the colossal amount of information surrounding the main story.

There's some flexibility even within that structure, because you can definitely compare some episodes pushing forward plot hard and others just showing more background detail or scenes that go nowhere. I can imagine the the season structure also forces them to adjust episodes to have a climax of sorts in each one, which could be troublesome (then again, S4E9 didn't have one, so clearly I know nothing).
