The main character is the world, everyone else is just a toy.
I am sure I have a spot in hell reserved for me because I cant help making jokes about the last scene... we all knew Oberyn was really open minded.

The only two friends Tyrion has left are Bronn and Jaime. And we already know that Bronn wouldn't risk his life for him again. So either Jaime runs off with Tyrion or Tywin arranges something behind the scenes, that Tyrion is brought to the wall or sth. Maybe Varys. On the trial Tyrion asked him "Have you forgotten that i defended the city?" and Varys replayed "Sadly, my lord, i never forget a thing."

So he confesses, dies and then what? Tywin says "No I didn't." and nothing changes. Sure it would be another Lannister "scandal" that somewhat embarrasses them, but that's basically it, right? Anyway, rewatching the Missandrei bathing scenes sure lightened my mood. I think I'm in love with her looks. he would just kill him right there with the spear dude

It's my understanding that without war there really isn't anyone to flay, and if they conducted those practices while Ned Stark was in charge they kept it on the down low. While Ned Stark was alive, Bolton was just one of his powerful bannermen. He always had a certain level of cunning but couldn't hope to usurp the Starks by himself.

People have emotions though, it's very much an emotional thing for Oberyn, he's a man who freely goes for what he's interested in with very little care. He wanted to hear the confession for satisfaction and justice. It's not a logical course of action for him, but it's not supposed to be and the rest of his previous actions all build up to it.

The starks and the boltons (historically) fought for dominance in the north for hundreds (if not thousands) of years. The starks got them to bend the knee, and flaying was supposed to be made illegal. I suppose the Starks could have just wiped out the Boltons but the siege the last time the Boltons rebelled took YEARS to end, plus the Starks generally are not that cruel, and their bannermen would never have supported that
