I don't know what you guys are talking about, This is better than anything except Season 4, and it's only 5 episodes in.
One can only hope they'll somehow kill off Laguerta and Angel, their subplots are so inane it makes me want to stab puppies with sharpened kittens.

Other than their pointless soap opera, they seriously just seem to exist for one purpose - Laguerta to be cliche hardass chief, and Angel to correctly pronounce every possible Spanish name or word we come across.
I guess it must be intentional, make every supporting character somewhat shallow and annoying, so we connect with Dexter even more.
Sooo... what did ppl think about about this episode? I thought it was kinda interresting, and emotional. And now that deb and quinn are together we know he's gonna get killed (hopefully by dexter... god I hate that twat!) like all her other boyfriends in the show.
Hilarious tie-up, made me think of the old really solid episodes. They still know how to make great situations, they just need to stretch it out for the duration of the season. Hopefully they've got some plans if this episode says anything.
First the really good part, Masuka. I laughed so hard at this, was just genious. Basically a lot of good stuff besides Angel and Laguerta soap shit.
I am kind of worried that Lumen is gonna enter Dexter's life as his potential new girlfriend. I do not think it is very good that Dexter is involved with a girl, simply cause girls in TV shows has gotten one role these days, to make things stupidly complicated and being annoying as hell. Wish they gave women/girls in TV shows another awesome role besides being annoying, like Debra kind of have. Right now, we see women in need of a mans help cause they are so got damn stupid and emotional. How about a wise girl that can guide and support for once? Someone that is actually smart.
I was so freaking happy when Rita died, although the first episode of this season was sad because of Rita's death, I was so happy she is gone, and we can see Dexter alone again (kind of get this season 1 feeling). Just hope this Lumen girl isnt trying to fill Rita's annoying role 5 episodes in, but rather someone Dexter can relate to without her making Dexter being overworked again, sleeping behind the wheel..
The show is getting pretty cartoonish but I'm enjoying it again anyway. It was pretty hilarious to see Dexter analyze a crime scene while the crime was still happening. Loved that. Also, Masuka's description of the homocide during Dexter's voice over. Damn that was funny.
