Pretty sure that the cop Debra went to the shop with to interview the Venezuelan guy is somehow related to the cult murders.
The four guys in the car was Jonah (Trinity Killer's son) and friends. I think the implication is that Jonah sees the witness and Dexter chasing after her, right after Quinn shows up and has Jonah ID Kyle Butler as Dexter.
If this season really is to be the last, looks like Dexter is getting ousted as the killer.

To be completely fair, im getting kind disapointed with this season ...
I just dont find it really plausible for him to make that many mistakes, say whatever you want, I hate the feeling that the writers are pushing something in a direction for their sakes.
I wish the FBI discovered everything and he had to go on the run forever srsly.

Uh, she probably has more makeup on to look ugly then she does to look good. And there is absolutely no way this is the last season. The ratings are far too good and it would have been announced.

This episode tells me that Dexter is back on the right track again. It wasn't amazing but had all the old elements of previous seasons. I could have done without the Batista/La Guerta drama but hey we can't have everything.

Pretty sure that the cop Debra went to the shop with to interview the Venezuelan guy is somehow related to the cult murders. "This girl" is Julia Stiles, and she joined the cast for _10_ Episodes, that means, till the end of the season. wikipedia-entry: + Show Spoiler +Julia Stiles will guest star in 10 episodes as Lumen, a new woman in Dexter's life
I was hoping he'd catch her and get rid of her asap but now we know she's going to be alive for a while. I like the direction of this season, I wish that woman barrell killer was around a bit longer because he seemed like the most f'd up killer outta all of them. Hopefully we get to know more about him even though he's dead.

As a prison break fan I would have also enjoyed if Dexter was on the but at the current rate every episode gets more and more interesting. Can't wait to see what will happen next.

As a prison break fan I'd like to see Dexter IN prison. The show started to suck once they broke out.. Also there are a lot of murderers he could kill in prison so that would be fun

I believe Dexter being in prison would suck. He's the Lawful Evil type, not a brawler and a prison isn't exactly the best environment for someone like Dexter.

Well if Dexter was in prison and done right it could also be awesome but season 2 of Prison Break when they were on the run was awesome as well.

While I agree, characters evolve, and it might be really cool. Maybe he's only in there for a couple months while something is being figured out on the outside. I think Mr. Hall is a good enough actor to pull it off.

Her name is "Lumen"? ROFL. I guess they were trying to get something that was reminiscent of "light at the end of the tunnel" or something but now I won't be able to stop thinking about her as the inside part of the GI tract. :/

Actually now when I think about it, when Dexter + Show Spoiler +kills that guy in the bathroom it showed that he has more stuff to show us.

Anyone else realized that + Show Spoiler +harry said "this will be the first time since rita's..[..]" in reference to the kill of boy fowler? Seems that his sub-consciousness totally neglects that he killed an (rude and totally out of line but) innocent guy in episode one ?
I really hope he kind of loses it in this season. I dont know, lastly i dont hope the series concludes with "be totally damaged in the brain, kill lots of people and become a good guy in the end". That would really be lame. :/

Just started watching Dexter, I'm at s01e08, so far so good !

Killing the guy in the bathroom didn't 'count' for Dexter because he didn't do the stalking and the ritual with the tying up and the plastic and the cutting of the cheek for the drop of blood. For serial killers, it often seems to be as much about the process and the ritual as the murder itself. That's why serial killers are often identified by their MO. So the asshole from episode one didn't give him the 'satisfaction' he needs as a serial killer, so Boyd in that sense is the first since Rita's death.
I agree with everyone that we'd better get some explanation for how he covered his tracks after killing that guy with no preparation at all.

Even if that is the explanation, it leaves us with the point that killing an innocent guy with no motive doesnt even concerns dexter anymore, which is kind of....interesting considering the ways this opens regarding the shows immediate future...
Another question i asked myself for a while:
How would dexter react if he met someone who does the same thing he does (but in no way connected to each other or even heard of). Would that be a "candidate" for his table? In the end he would be just another murderer, wouldnt he? I know that he sometimes tell his victims "i'm not like you"..but what if he met someone like him? I mean, the thought of killing "killers" wasnt that new to me even before dexter.
In the end, self-justice has been around for thousands of years.

to the episode 3, now things are really getting started, but I really don't know how the story will continue without losing credibilty if arthurs son identifies dexter as kyle butler hm........ than there is seemingly no way out for dexter o.O ah I am pumped for the next episode
btw are there any new good series u guys started to watch this fall?
Did you see the son's face in the preview? Some hesitation there. Also, Dexter had the most positive impact on the son, I doubt he would want to out him.

I so hate previews. This was like the 1st time I downloaded an episode and it actually had a preview at the end, which I didn't expect and got sort of spoiled about what happens. That's obviously not gonna be the main aspect of the episode, but they still get rid of like 5-10 minutes of suspense at the start by just revealing stuff.
It's weird
