If you payed attention, he didn't go to Budapest. He just bought the ticket so he could enter the boarding area to get the guy before he boards the plane. ;P Can't wait for the next episode, this is crazy. xD man why didn't he just take a local flight then he wouldn't have had to waste like $1000s I'm guessing the Budapest flight was the one leaving soonest, so he could get through quickly or be in the right place. Or something. There was probably some stupid reason for it that actually kinda makes sense. Product placement. Notice how they said the exact amount of money the flight cost, how there was an attractive saleswoman, and how the logo of the airlines was on her shirt and in the background? It's even more apparent when they do the shot of the iphone and the "finger print" app. Showtime is trying to earn as much money off this series as they can before it ends.
Haha, so attractive saleswoman was part of the sex sells advertisement? The feminazis won't be too happy with this.

The thing I've never understood is that Dexter says that he doesn't have feelings for anything yet he has standards. If he had no feelings he wouldn't give a shit.

And the #1 rule of his code is... DONT GET CAUGHT! Doesn't require much emotion to realize getting caught for murder is a bad thing.

Dexter says he doesn't have feelings. That doesn't mean it is true. I find it pretty obvious that he does indeed have feelings.

Every television channel in the history of mankind has done and will do this every chance they get. Just look at laptops in basicly any American series or movie the last five ears - it's gonna be a mac.
Except in Big Bang Theory, where geniuses actually use non-mac's YAY!

I think he planned to fly to Kiev originally, to follow Victor. When he gives the flight number that he wants, it is right next to the Kiev flight. There was a very conspicuous shot of the flight list right after the woman says "To Budapest?". I think he botched it and didn't want to draw attention by seeming to not know his flight number, so he just went with it. As far as whether or not he planned to actually *fly* to Kiev or just buy a ticket and bail, I have no idea. Neither would surprise me.

Hes just been conditioned by harry to think hes a psychopath, and obviously all the murdering and such has left him pretty detached and cold [plus the initial childhood trauma]. Your right though, a genuine psychopath could never hold himself to standards, too impulsive, too immoral for that.

So you are bothered about the product placement of the Airline but not about the Ukranian dude who in about 10 seconds displayed an Apple desktop, an Apple notebook, an iPad and an iPhone?
Are you serious?

I sighed so hard at the beginning... I was so afraid they're gonna leave it at that huge copout. So glad the episode ended the way it did.

Ahh... Cannot wait for Sunday... Can anyone please recommend some good shows that are similar to Dexter (have a cool main character who's somewhat quirky, has a bit of action, a bit of thriller)...

To be honest, as much as I loved Batman as a kid, when I tried to rewatch TAS a few years ago I struggled with how slow the pacing was.
Thanks for the above suggestion of Boardwalk Empire - downloading the torrent right now!

Yeah LaGuerta finding the blood-slide like that was pretty unrealistic, but evidence sweeps are so thorough that they probably would have found it eventually. So the fact that she found it in that way didn't really change the overall story.

The Razer product placement was pretty blatant too.

I think the fact that she found it is going to be very important (although you are probably right it would have been found either way). She grabbed the slide instead of logging it. She's going to try to get some crazy revenge I think.

Wouldn't she assume it was Doakes, or does she suspect that Doakes wasn't the real BHB (Bay Harbor Butcher)?

I think his point is that shes going to get suspicious theres a real BHB out there and strive to catch him out of a personal vendetta to vindicate her lover/friend doakes.

The show may never capitalize on it, but evidence that Doakes wasn't the BHB specifically points towards Dexter being the real BHB, or at least having information he withheld regarding who the BHB is.
