In other words...it's like they fail miserably whenever someone dies, get kidnapped, shot, when they see a mauled, rotten or beaten up body/corpse, etc. I CAN understand Dexter not feeling much after Rita's death - not a single tear or sad face - except for the hillbilly bathroom tantrum but...everybody else... Rita's mother/father in law = not a tear, not a single sad face, all cool Cody = not a tear Astor = cries only once when first given the bad news, then never again Rita's Mother = nowhere to be seen - wtf? And that aside...whenever someone's someone dies, it's like nobody cares. Only Deb cries when Lundi dies, but that's pretty much it. What the hell is up with everybody else being immune to things that would make people cry, shit their pants, weep to dehydration, etc.?

And Lundy, well, no one but Deb cared about him in Miami. He was kinda a douche to the Miami Metro PD during the Bay Harbor Butcher case and was only really involved with Angel and Deb, so I dunno why you're looking for them all to get all teary eyed over him.

+ Show Spoiler + Not sure if the 6th sense theory still holds up. There's a scene where the two of them are drinking from mugs at a bar and when they both leave the bar, you can see both mugs still on the bar stand. Still, despite the Doomsday killer's face on the newspapers, no one seems to pay him any mind. So maybe Travis just visualizes the mug as well. + Show Spoiler + Noooo Brother Sam!!

I definitely think the '6th sense' theory doesn't hold up

Quinn has been fucking shit up ever since season 3, never liked him. There's really been no development for Dexter this season(so far). Maybe something will come out of the whole brother sam thing for him. I'm liking the new cop, think he's been a good addition so far. I'm not really sure what his point is in the show yet.

Yeah man, we got some geniuses here on the tl forum. Admittedly I wouldn't have noticed any of this if it wasn't mentioned in this thread last week.

Anyone else notice that the guard dog didn't park at all while brother sam was getting shot?

I mean, what fascinates me about the series is that it's basically a study of how a more or less recluse serial killer with no emotions develops into his own person with beliefs and feelings through his relationships with his Sister, Girlfriend/Wife, and Children. At least that's how I see it. I couldn't describe it better. That's the same reason Monster is the best anime for me. The way they analyze/mess with the human psyque is fascinating.

I loved this episode though it was great, and the plot really is developing pretty fast, so I'm expecting a lot of surprises.

+ Show Spoiler + Olmos and Hanks are praying, Hanks looks at Olmos and for a second Olmos' face is bloody and then normal again. That kinda seems like a hint that maybe he is dead after all.

Though the whole mother thing was a bit strange, not like dexter was behind him listening. I'm more inclined to believe that geller has a terminal illness of some kind due to the head bleeding.
