At this point if this theory is true, I won't be surprised because Dexter hasn't been good since John Lithgow was on it. But it honestly would mean they think we are barely more intelligent than Jersey Shore watchers. How does painting mean he is not a hallucination? You can hallucinate someone doing a "physical action." Have you not seen fight club? And ya, someone with some crazy mental disorder definitely couldn't be pretending to be someone else on a website. Everything on the internet is true! The character has never actually interacted with anyone else, which is the only way to verify he is still alive. Maybe you should think things over a bit more before saying that they are insulting your intelligence.
I agree, it definitely looks like it's going to be a Fight Club style hallucination.

This was also true.

The website is going to be the detective's lead, and then they find out the guy is dead. Websites can exist after someone has died.
Awesome theory guys, this is why I go on TV forums for Starcraft nerds ;D

the detectives did mention the old guy was.... underground. hohoho

Theory question..
When Colin got a date with that girl and woke up, the girl was already tied up supposely by Olmos. Considering Olmos is just a figment of imagination,I don't know how could Colin would had been able to do that while asleep. Unless he was a terrific sleepwalker.

first time posting on this thread. love the show. but really??? some people actually think edward is imaginary??? like tyler durden??? really????

In the movie fight club Tyler builds an entire terrorist organisation when the main character isn't looking.
Movie hallucinations can do a lot of things.

With some sort of dissociative disorder, he could certainly do things without being aware.

This was my favorite show but I don't like how they are starting to bring in religion and faith. I guess it's important to the development of Dexter and what not, it's just all the talk of God and being is making me lose interest pretty fast. I get the nutjob religious killer thing but there is way too much focus on faith and not enough on our favorite serial killers "dark passenger."

Am I the only one who really likes the religion/faith thing?I think it is interesting
Also, Teamliquid, I can always count on you on solving theories. if he is indeed a hallucination(which makes sense) then it will be awesome.

I thought that the intern was collecting serial killer evidence because she saw some kind of connection between them and was on the path of discovering dexter, sadly I was mistaken... Also the fight club theory seems to be the big plot twist for this season. I really hope it isn't because I'm going to be really disappointed.
edit: Holy fuck, what if harry and the professor beat the fuck out of each other at the end of the season? And Dexter and the other guy watch the spectacle (because they can both see ghosts) and decide to be friends afterwards. Would be awesome!

If this happens . That's just not Dexter. I watch this show so that I can watch him kill Serial Killers. It's kinda his thing.

This is Dexter, not True Blood.

Currently cruising through season 4. Shame Lundy got gunned down, I liked him. Deb however, scheez, just when you think her idiocy is toning down...it spikes in unprecedented ways and makes me hate her so bad I could go beat the actual actress playing the role lol.
I ....just...can't...digest...total...idiocy
Why didn't the trinity killer get deb instead of Lundi? now THAT would of been true gold.

The website is real, the guy lived but is now dead.

Oh my god, it makes so much sense, I don't mind having been spoiled because the moment I read it felt so good! This makes a season I was already liking even better.

I mean, hell, season 1, episode 4 (the one where the ice truck killer is amputating on the security guard and leaving them in places from Dexter's photo album), he doesn't kill anyone. every season is 12 episodes long, and according to here: http://dexterwiki.wetpaint.com/page/Dexter's Victims , Dex never even kills 12 people in an episode (even counting flashbacks). This is hardly groundbreaking.
