Well that you can treat this as your guilty pleasure does not mean others have that same opinion. I expect a certain quality plotwise. However kishi has progressively butchered naruto more and more.
Seems he has a severe case of fanserviritus a disease common among shonens that stay around 2 long.

I don't agree, I think the story has held up remarkably well, given its length. Bleach has degraded far harder, and much more quickly, which was inevitable given how the series started off. People may not like certain details, like how the 4th Hokage has basically just been a clod since revived, or how eyes have been changing heads throughout, but then people complain about stuff like random powerups and I begin to realize I shouldn't be paying attention to those people. For powerups in particular, it's not random if it was so clearly foreshadowed you could see it coming a year off, like with Naruto, Madara, and to some extent Sasuke, and people in general are getting hung up on the silliest things, like Guy's power after unlocking all 8 gates, he was a plot device to stall for time, who gives a shit. It's not like there's any inconsistencies in what people are complaining about, it's just that it didn't go quite the way they thought it would, so now they're going to poke holes in it. I like theorizing about the things that go down as much as the next guy, but getting offended or upset over minute details destroys your ability to enjoy this series, which is a shame now that it's drawing to its end. The story overall is really very good, and it's come a long way, so I don't see why someone would do that to themselves.

pretty much this. I read this chapter, saw kakashi lose his eye(thought wtf at how it just happened lol) but the rest seemed fine. I also don't see why people are complaining about Sasuke's ability. I think it's a given that in Naruto, whenever someone gets new eyes, there is likely to be some devastating strong jutsu to come with it. Only part of the chapter that I think was confusing was the limbo part. I had to re-read those pages several times to see what he meant but the drawings were a big reason that it got confusing. Overall, not a bad chapter. Sasuke's eye looks funny but I'm ok with that lol.
Also, reading the first page or two on just kakashi losing his eyes had me dying of laughter for some reason so I think this was a great chapter after all lol

Zombie 4th hokage is still fucking 4th hokage people. He has earned his keep to not get so much shit from us over a single goddamn trip. Orochimaru was KO'd for eons without his arms, and yet we go emo with a single slip-up here before Minato redeems himself in the very next fight.

i don't know why anyone would have negative criticism based on the plot. it was long alluded that naruto would have the body of the sage of the 6ths paths, or the next successor to the heir of the body. while sasuke was the chakra. this was pretty clear when resemblances appeared upon naruto when he controlled the 9 tails.
the sage of the 6th paths cleaning up the mess he made is also well held up in the plot. the explanation and the current powers given by the father to the next successors, is by no way an ass pull.

the Kyuubi thing is a bit impressive, but we dont know what happens to those inside the seal of the death god sot ehy may have had a chance to chat, AND the Kyuubi would have seen his most hated enemies on the battle field, AND since hes an Edo with infinite Chakra he can steal as much 9 tail chakra as he wants because the Kyuubi can never suck him dry
and remember that it took Naruto a while but only because it took a long time for anyone to teach him how to even truly access the 9 tails chakra

Am I the only one who noticed that kakashi's eye power wasn't used correctly in this chapter? I thought kakashi could only look at things and teleport them to the other realm but madara clearly teleported his upper body there by himself it seems. What do you guys think?

Yes he does. In the flashback fight with him and Madara, his shinsuusenju is senpou - a sage art. The 2nd remarks to himself how, like his brother, Naruto can use senjutsu, and when Madara absorbs his chakra, that that was all the power that his sage chakra had. I would say his sage chakra and his wood-style techniques are heavily related, giving him the power to tap into a different sort of sage art, but it is indeed senjutsu.

I think why the 4th hokage looked like he was thrown under a bus was because of a few writing techniques like, hyping up minato right before he does a fail or flashbacking to a heartwarming memory, then failing hard.
Also, minato's feels kind brought him down, often feeling emotional for what happen to naruto and not focusing on the battle. I don't blame his character for being like that, but I feel like there was bias that was intentionally written into the manga to have minato portrayed as a softie, with major emphasis on his shortcoming as a father and in battle. For me, that indicated that Minato will ultimately redeem himself and die in peace (or get revived!? I like to imagine :p) later in the manga, maybe something to do with saving the world, or something else.
There's no doubt that there will be a phase that sasuke will be rendered useless and beat up... naruto kicking ass, then beat up as well, leaving the reader to feel hopless about the battle. Then something will happen to put things back into balance, and I don't think it will be a powerup because they already did that. It has to be something epic, very close, very decisive, and should be about something that helps naruto or sasuke get an opening or advantage. I don't know how many cycles of this technique there will be, but it's likely that the battle just began and there'll be around 3 cycles. Probably madara defeated and the mother will spawn to reclaim control of the world or something... heh.
