It sorta does have rules though, it's kinda like alchemy. To bring someone back, someone has to die first. I'd be disappointed if the strings get cut off later though. Even though the series could use more major deaths in general, nothing beats Bleach, where you don't even have to think about characters reviving because they never die. I mean, they killed Yamamoto, but I just think that's because everyone was complaining about nobody dying.

That hasn't happened yet if it will at all as likely as it may be. I'd rather stick to what has happened in the manga and then adjust my views.

Except that for Edo Tensei you make 1 living person out of 2 dead people .Aaaaaand give them their original personalities with a kunai and a piece of paper....
And that Pain only died because he revived everyone in Konoha he killed in the fight before. Remember that Obito used the rinnegan technique to revive Madara and he is not only still *alive*, he is currently fighting the person he revived.
I could even claim that you can revive as many people as you like with rinnegan if you wait some time and recover between resurrections. Because there is no proof to the contrary yet.

Well, with Obito, you can claim that he's on the verge of death so he hasn't died yet. His willpower is the only thing keeping him alive. I dunno if you can make such a claim and if there will ever be a change to it tbh. So far, everyone who used that technique died from it although I guess that's a grand total of one person dead and one more waiting lol.

Talk no-jutsu claims another victim, except it was Itachi making Kabuto talk to himself, in a dream. So if I got this right, Sasuke is now receiving cells from Harishima because Kabuto is healing him using some technique he got from the 1st hokage. Sasuke next So6P confirmed.
Also god damnit Gai, you're gonna be bringing the feels hard next chapters when you die and pass the torch to Lee...
