You realize the story of the God Tree + Fruit has been around LONG before Chrstianity adopted the story?
Ever heard of Yggdrasil?

The weakness by generation still doesn't really make much sense to me. You have so much time to develop techniques and improve on the techniques already made. Training regimes are created and updated far past what they were in the past with increased understanding of shit. Battle tactics are developed and tacticians become more knowledgeable with each generation. Kind of insulting really that someone from... Timeline Fuck my life. This isn't even a gigantic gap in time. You're telling me in another hundred years everyone's gonna be weak as shit?

You could say the quality of the chakra has degraded over time but new moves are indeed made and some moves are lost though to compensate.

I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain the Judaic story of Adam and Eve pre-dates Yggdrasil by quite a long time. Interestingly, the mythology of a world tree/god tree/tree of life seems to have developed independently in many civilizations the world over.

Hmm, it seems to make sense that people would get worse with ninjutsu as the population grows larger and chakra is spread out over a greater number of people. Also, the world of Naruto is very low-tech, so it's difficult to communicate and learn from other cultures (remember how mysterious it could be to play a video game in the days before the internet?). In addition, the different factions are very secretive about their history and their techniques. I mean the only people to know the truth about ninjutsu are the absolute top leaders of one tribe inside one city inside one country. And usually the top ninjas with the best techniques marked them as forbidden, neglected to teach even them to even their own villages, and died with their secrets.
Less chakra + no communication + secrecy = people get worse.
Speaking of secrets, I doubt anyone (except Madara and maybe Obito) knows more than Orochimaru. So now is a pretty damn good time for Oro + the 5 kages to show up and shut shit down.
|
just my prediction on how naruto will end
+ Show Spoiler +the god tree will not be destroyed and obito will decide to take all chakra of all people in their world (naruto used talk-no-jutsu) and the tree will serve as sort of a huge nexus cannon that if ever someone had malicious thoughts over other it will shoot that someone down
i know .. i know .. its ridiculous ...

And this has happened many times and Naruto is not the first Naruto to try and stop the Architect Juubi's illusion. and once they break the illusion they can free Ichigo who can kick Aizens ass and stop the dream world forever

Kinda curious as to what Madara has up his sleeve. He seems very calm, and adamant that the one who will be using Infinite Tsukuyomi is him; despite the fact that Obito is clearly on the cusp of it himself. Could this have been part of his plan all along?
Also, art can be hard to interpret, but did anyone else think Sasuke looked concerned when he saw Naruto drained of his chakra? I feel like there has been way too much buildup for there to not be a final clash between them, but he hasn't really shown much evidence of more sinister ulterior motives yet. Unless you count the trying to kill the tailed beasts thing, but thats not so much directed at Naruto and its honestly something I'd agree with.
Not exactly sure how the Infinite Tsukuyomi will be stopped barring something crazy or a big wind-up time, the flower is already blooming. Maybe we'll see some chapters actually take place within the Genjutsu world, it would provide a lot of opportunities for cool stuff IMO. Could be cool to see everyones perfect world, perhaps with the cliched rejection of the perfect illusion in favor of flawed reality.
Still waiting on Edo-tensei Rin or Izuna for talk no jutsu! I think it would actually be pretty cool if Madara is the one who takes a redemption arc, since he's the one who's least likely to have it. I've had a lot more sympathy for him after his past was fleshed out, he's even more of a victim than Sasuke or Obito IMO.

Pain got talk no jutsu because he knew his plan wasnt actually very good at all so he decided to put his hope in someone with more determination

Norse mythology came after Judaic mythology by thousands of years.

Come on, it's gonna happen and we all know it.

Yeah. In all seriousness, there's a whole shitton of stuff suggesting that Naruto's effectively the second coming of Ootsutsuki Bagoromo (nope, didn't need to look his name up, or anything >.>). Especially the scene with Naruto and the tailed beasts, which conveniently just made the anime, where Yonbi says he "must be it" - The One probably.
So we practically know there's something coming with regard to him and the tailed beasts, and becoming the new Sage of Six Paths, it's just that right now we have no idea what exactly will happen - or when. That's a pretty compelling trick they've pulled off, in my eyes.
edit: oh yeah, and I was totally wrong about the third, oh well :p

He also gave everyone chakara like the Sage of Six Paths did.

... SO NARUTO IS JEEBUS?
no seriously i'm actually liking this arc a lot, it's finally progressing somewhat, and while asspull nojutsu for storyline is happening, it's still at least intriguing to see how this pans out. WHAT IF. NARUTO SEES THIS, and instead of destroying the Shinju and restoring power to everyone. he absorbs it himself after defeating Obito. But to do this he needs the combined help of Sasuke, and in the process of defeating Obito, and absorbing all of the chakra of the Shinju... he and Sasuke are trapped INSIDE the shinju, but instead of being confined in it just physically, Sasuke casts His EYE HAX, and the two of them, are trapped in an infinite loop forever.... where they fight each other for eternity... The rest of the world no longer has chakra. And as Madara stated, chakra only made things worse... and the world, returns back to it's pre-chakra days... and humans are left to do their own conflicts like before, but due to the sacrifices made by naruto... everyone agrees that the fighting is useless and meaningless, and like the shinobi alliance, everyone joins up to form 1 nation to better the life of all... and thus, naruto is the one. the chosen one, the ender of all conflicts, the returner of balance to the force... Luke Skywalker.
wait what.

Interesting chapter although I was wtfing several times about how Kishi just pulled the tree story and then the idea that the child of the women who ate the tree owned the juubi splitting it. He had that much chakra to defeat it? It just sounded really bizzare to me although I'm curious to see what will happen next. Someone mentioned that Obito is in the body of one of Madara's minions so it's quite possible he'll let him take control then Madara will be the one to cast the genjustu.
