Unless he's going for a masters in law. Which nobody ever does.
That'd be an interesting loophole.
My concern with that clip was that Rachel apparently didn't realize it was old, and never made any sort of verbal revelation that he had gotten into Harvard long ago and had connected the dots to why he didn't end up going to that school in particular. Her reaction (at least, in my opinion) was that she would be going to Stanford/ some other non-Harvard law school and he would be going to Harvard in the mean time.

Well I think she was just suprised as no one ever knew or thought Mike was accepted to Harvard as I would make no sense to be accepted, not go and then fake a degree.
|
Does Rachel know about his problem going to college because of Trevor though? Mike told Harvey that he got screwed and needed a second chance; I'd assume that he told Rachel too. Or they're going to fight again about keeping secrets >.>

Mike's "I got into Harvard and I'll tell you about it after I win the next case with my fake Harvard degree" is a hilarious twisting of the knife. What's next, his stinger to Harvey that he slept with his mom before showing a Pearson Darby Ross card?

Well we do know that Harvey's mom is a slut. So Harvey's mom cheated on Harvey's dad with... Mike! And Trevor! And + Show Spoiler +

^lol at that threesome!!!
And guys there is probably a date on that old letter (that Rachel would have noticed that straight away, she is a paralegal etc).

He didn't get in to harvard again. It was the old letter. Beside the fact that this show never really did plot twists like this without buildup, the paper was wrinkled, Rachels reaction wasn't anger or happyness (if he was accepted in the present) just confusion which is consistent with a past acceptance. Also, as others pointed out, he can't really get into Harvard while already practicing law and having a degree from harvard.
I really liked this episode. Much better then the beginning of this season. Less Rachel/Mike drama and more in house battles. More Donna/Harvey interaction and the case evolved nicely. A bit more Litt and it would have been awesome! =)

Yeah from the scene the letter looked worn and old. Like it had been folded up somewhere and hadn't seen the light of day in a while. I interpreted it as the flashback where we see Mike losing out on Harvard as what the letter was.

(And a noted lack of Katrina lately aahhhh.) Donna with whipped cream doesn't do it for you? Hehe nope, she's a great dresser which is what I like in her (apart from her TV character offc), but she doesn't do it for me otherwise.

Two things from this episode:
First could Jessica be plotting with Steven? perhaps he was sent there as a fixer but him a jessica got talking and decided to make their own take-down after telling her about Harvey and Darby's takeover and maybe he wants power himself, overlooked by Darby in London?
Secondly the Harvard thing makes no sense. Also this show is all about finding dirt on people, how has none of the great lawyers picked up on the fact Mike has gaps in his past. Even if he "officially" went to Harvard (due to hacker plot device), it would still be obvious some things wrong with only a little digging, lack of loans, full time job some time in the 4 years he should have been studying ect. If someone hasn't found it yet they will as the show goes on and Mike goes up against good lawyers and gets more limelight in cases, if they don't its pretty unbelievable.

Let's all be honest here. Between Katrina, Rachel and Donna. You wouldn't kick any of them out of bed.

But only one of them is marry material.

Rachel has always been mad at Mike for faking the whole harvard thing because she cant even get in so him showing her that he actually got accepted sort of proves that Mike is the real deal to her.

But if all three were in your bed, who would you choose to keep? Assuming you could only keep one.
And assuming we could even get them in our beds....

If someone hasn't found it yet they will as the show goes on and Mike goes up against good lawyers and gets more limelight in cases, if they don't its pretty unbelievable. By now IRL, we've seen enough frauds to know it's not very hard to get away with it if people think you're in the elite club. Only Jessica went to the trouble of looking for Mike's college record and only because she was vetting him for grooming to future partnership. If Harvey vouches for Mike, most people at the firm would accept that as good enough. They used to allude to things like Mike doesn't know about any pizza places around Harvard but while he got looks, nobody suspected enough to look him up.
The biggest plot hole is that the firm should constantly be hiring new associates and nobody has ever looked at Mike strangely, wondering things like why they've never seen him around. 2nd biggest plot hole is the curious question of whether Mike passed the bar exam and has a license to practice law. It's assumed he would ace it, but he would have to pass a pretty extensive background check.
Maybe it will be a plot device in the future. Certainly as he rises the associate ranks and participates in more cases, sooner or later he should run into someone else from Harvard ostensibly from his year also rising up the ranks (like Maria, the associate Louis wanted but had to decline).

Well that was obvious, which is why he wasn't added to hypothetical scenario.
