Also, the babies being overpowered (at least Pumpkin Cake) is explained by Rarity briefly in the early part of the episode.

I liked this episode a lot. Not exactly top tier, but I hadn't really liked any of the episodes since sisterhood social, so I'm just glad there was an episode I liked.

The abilities were weird though. I don't know why the babies had the best flying seen outside of RD or the wonderbolts, and magic more powerful than any pony except twilight and the princesses.

I so glad they didn't use that god awful baby model from the mare-do-well episode. That thing still creeps me out.

Well there were ponies younger than Scoots flying in the second half of the series premier, weren't there? It's possible that there are developmental differences between male and female pegasi, and Dash was an exception.

How so?

Pinkie Pie is basically my favorite now. That's all i gotta say about that.

Alternatively, Scootaloo has some sort of learning disability or physical disability that prevents her from being able to fly. Even Fluttershy was able to fly. (although weakly)

Another possibility is that pegasusususes bodies grow faster than their wings, so they lose the ability to fly during puberty

It was D'awwww. Will be fun to see all the fun theories on why baby ponies are so overpowered. Personally I'm going for the ignoring reality theory. Like Pinkie Pie, if they don't know that something is impossible, it's not.

Although Princess Molestia theory is fine too. =P

first in the ep I was like :D and its so good.
then I was like Oh god I hope it doesn't go down this route for too long.
and then I was so happy again with all the pinkie pie.

The subtle twins are the 2 different races that we are not was epic. The ongoing pinkie pie is now a main character in the show was a great opertunity for great pinkie moments. it went though the sequences that it needed and then had a great ending I think.

I thought it was a great episode, really funny. Some of the stuff may be a bit cliche, but I thought there was enough difference from other shows that did a similar type of episode that it didn't bother me. Pinkie Pie being completely unable to actually take care of the babies was great, and I'll probably have to rewatch it to point out anything very specifically. The whole scene at the end with them flying and using magic was a bit odd but, whatever, I liked it. But now... why can't Scoots fly?

It was skating on thin ice and could've been terrible and cliche, but it wasn't. The combination of specifict Pinkie Pie character traits and the babies facial expressions made the the most perfectly done responsibilities episode ever. The moral was very general (like all of them), but the quality of the EVERYTHING was just so good. Also, this episode is the definition of adawwwwwwwwable...I mean when the babies flour'd themselves. IT HURT ME INSIDE WITH CUTENESS.
