no, joffrey's wedding is gonna happen in first half of season 4 i assume
I'm convinced Joffrey's death will happen as the finale for season 3. There's been a lot of screen time surrounding Joffrey's wedding this season and it would fit right into the story. Also everyone who's completely heartbroken over the red wedding HAS to at least watch the finale before they decide if they want to give up forever, and nothing will be more satisfying than watching that little bitch die.
extremely doubtful, im willing to bet joffrey's death is going to be e9 of season 4, and e10 is gonna be called "A Lannister always pays it debts"

No way they can put off the wedding for a complete other season, the time gap would just be too big! I expect Joffrey's death in this weeks episode. Maybe they can put it off till early in season 4 but no way they will wait till the end of season 4.
I haven't been following the series so close, but do people actually like Robb as a character ?
I always felt as in the book he was made to be second rate, no chapters of his own, doesn't really have anything that makes him stand out, he just feels like a poor man's Ned. When the red wedding came I was just disappointed Sansa wasn't there also, killing her would wipe 75% of the boring chapters.
In the other book someone brought up Bran controlling Dragons. How awesome would that be? Someone should give this idea to GRRM, in case he didnt think of it :D

E9 of S4 would be far too late, then E10 would have to include Tyrion imprisonment & trial, Sansa's escape from KL with Dontos/LF, Oberyn vs Gregor Clegane and Tyrion ending Tywin+Shae. Much too fast for 1 ep.
Purple wedding will be ~E3-4, maybe E2. Definitely not this season, they haven't even introduced Mace Tyrell or Oberyn Martell (and both have been confirmed as currently being casted for S4).

Take that back! Sansa's chapters are among my favourites. A view in Littlefinger's kitchen and her slowly learning from the master, and I firmly believe she will eventually end Littlefinger. The most boring ones for me have been Bran//Dany/Jon. Sometimes exciting things happen, but it's rare and I just don't connect that well with the characters.
There is way too many important characters involved in Joffrey's Wedding and the surrounding events that haven't been introduced (Mace Tyrell and Oberyn Martell especially).
Assuming they keep with the 1/2 book per season format, they have more than enough events to cover in S4. S4E9 will be Tywin + Shae as that is the biggest shakeup and they love to put those in that position. So that makes the purple wedding like E3/4/5 depending on how much they want to build up various characters.
G.R.R.M. wrote episode 2 for next season. That sounds about right for the timing of the Purple Wedding I think. Either that or the Wildings attacking the wall.
How do you guys think they'll handle Jon going back to Castle Black? I think they kinda screwed up with how they handled his situation last season. In the books he clearly gets an order from Halfhand to go undercover and spy on the wildlings, in the show they just make it seem like Jon kills him cause he made some "your mom" jokes. It would be kind of a stretch for Jon to claim that Halfhand ordered him to kill him and go over to the wildlings.

halfhand did order him, plainly and clearly. ~1:50

I thought the plan was rather clearly shown with The Halfhand repeatedly telling him to do the right thing and that 1 crow back on the wall was worth 1000 outside.
It was strongly hinted that that's what he wanted him to do, but it wasn't as straight forward an order as in the books. I don't know, I guess that's enough to fall back on. I mean he's gonna get locked up anyways right? It's been a while since I read it.
Well nothing changed at all as far as the other men of the watch are concerned. It is all up to Jon, and even if it wasn't as clear to all viewers at first it is clear now that he was doing the triple agent thing Qhorin commanded him to.
What about the theory that Jon is a Targaryen? His mom was Edds sister with Rhaegar being his father. He would've been conceived during the tournament that Rhaegar won. Edd was so incredibly dutiful / mindful of honour - it doesn't make sense that he would sire a bastard. Also there are 3 dragons, Aegon the conqueror had 3 drakes, 2 for his sisters and 1 for himself.
Daenerys has 3 dragons, 1 for herself and 2 for both of her brothers... Thus a song of Ice and Fire that Rhaegar mentioned, since Jon Targaryen would represent the Ice with Daenerys being the Fire. Together they could crush the White Walkers etc. Since Jon possibly died in the last book, if he's resurrected maybe he could be free of his oath to the Nights Watch?
A friend mentioned the theory about Tyrion also being a Targaryen, thoughts?

Jon being one is a pretty common theory nowadays. Tyrion being one makes no sense. Everyone and their mother knows exactly who his parents are; Tywin even hates Tyrion for "killing" his wife.
