A lot of time has been spent preparing for the "royal wedding" already this season. I would not be surprised if the last few moments are sansa running off with dontos, joffrey choking and going purple, dying while panic ensues, her climbing the ledge and swimming to the boat, baelish shoots dontos and then " The best moves are the ones no one predicts " (Whatever his quote is sorry) as the final words of the season.
After the crushing blow to the "good guy lovers" that was episode 9 a little justice in episode 10 but just as big a shock would be pretty great.
Have they already confirmed the purple wedding won't be this season? I don't see why to delay it till 404/405.
man, i wish this season was 12 episodes or something, just to end with a "happy ending" with joff's wedding and put some people at ease with vengeance.
I really hope they do joffreys wedding in season 4 halfway through so we can have some oberyn. Would be really sad if they cut him out just to end season 3 on a nicer note

Because they haven't introduced Oberyn yet. Without him in the picture who will be Tyrion's champion in his trial ? It will just be plain wierd if he gets introduced after the wedding but maybe the show writers have found a way to pull it off. Some things I feel could be a part of finale - Arya killing Hound and escaping to Braavos. This I feel is fairly likely. - Beric breathing life into Lady stoneheart but that may spoil that surprise when she meets Brienne. - Balon's death

Arya actually killing the Hound would be a pretty big deal.

Some of those really made me laugh. :D
-By Dothraki standards, I would consider this wedding a very entertaining affair -Game of Thrones: a show for those who can't deal with the sunny optimism of The Walking Dead. -"I used to be King in the North, then I took an arrow to the everything"

Yes: Arya Edit "Abandons" dying Hound and escaping to Braavos. This I feel is fairly likely. ++Bran/Sam meet up
No: Balon's death (Out of no where? People have probably forgetton him, the entire power struggle would be better served by an entire season )
Maybe: Beric breathing life into Lady stoneheart but that may spoil that surprise when she meets Brienne.
They could easily bring in the Dorne party in season 4. Season four would look like this:
Filler time in king landings, tommen appointed, dorne introduction/build up(hate for lannisters, Illyiah) , tyrion in his cell, quickie wedding to tyrells
Midway(3-5): The battle at the wall / Stannis and Jon saga begins / Whatever Dany is up to / Ironborn back story / Bastard Reveal
6-8: Queen's Moot / Dany's great "plots" / Oberyn meets tyrion and accepts to fight for him / Jon Becomes lord commander / Reek betrays his country men, better now that we've been immersed in the iron born.
9 SAY HER NAME SAY HER NAME
10 Thrung.
I'm paraphrasing but I'm sure you guys see how it would fit nicely. I think i'm going to risk it all here and say purple wedding guaranteed 3.10.
I think people are just listing things they want to happen next episode for wish fulfillment. Red Wedding was pretty well halfway through the book. Things that can't happen timeline wise next episode:
-Joffrey's death: Several key characters have not been introduced, nor has his pre-wedding party taken place (where he gets his sword and Tyrion gives him the book), nor has there been enough foreshadowing for the poison. Without Dontos, "suddenly poison" is a really crummy way to kill off a character.
-UnCat: Since she only shows up at the very end of ASoS, there's really no reason to show her being risen and then ignored for pretty much the entire next season. Also, they said she was in the water for several days before they found her, if the next episode is the next day or so (the tents were still burning in the preview), there's no way she'd been soaking long enough.
-Jaime's return: He returns to the city after Joffrey's death. Even if they kill Joff in the finale (which they won't), they won't bring Jaime back that same episode.
-Arya killing the Hound: They haven't even encountered Gregor's men yet, it would be way too fast to have their escape -> the inn scene -> Hound's death.
What I think we'll get instead is Jorah's banishment, some Hound/Arya scenes relating to the first Arya chapter after RW, maybe Balon's death (if watchers even remember who he is), and Jon's return to the wall. If we're lucky, we'll see Bran and crew reach the Nightfort and meet Sam/Gilly, and maybe even see Coldhands on the other side.
The wolf head isn't actually "seen" by any of the PoV characters in the book, Salladhor Saan describes it to Stannis and Davos. Seems unlikely that we get Coldhands this season considering his purpose so far would have been to save Sam and then show him the Black Gate, which in the show Sam says he knows about from reading. I was disappointed in Ygritte not shooting Jon for betraying her, and the TV scene made it look like Jon didn't even really need to flee. I also never really got the sense of Tormund and Jon having a good relationship like in the book, and having one in the future when he betrayed Tormund in person will be interesting to see how they make it work.
It will be intesting to see how they do Jorah's banishment since Barristan Selmy said he was not on the king's council in the show and therefore wouldn't know. Plus the reason he didn't tell Dany right away was because he had his own secret in that he lied about his identity. And they should have been sent on the suicide mission thru the sewers. So it will be interesting to see how they work around that.
I love people moaning about the direwolf head thing not shown in the show yet when even in the books we were told about it a couple chapters later. Get real.

Just as they have with Theon in this season, I am sure D&D can think up some scenes for UnCat where she seeks her vengeance upon Frey's next season. Not to mention, show watchers need a pick-me-up after what they just saw, something to keep them hopeful and invested in the show now that one of their favorites just died.

The idea that Cat is anyone's favorite is kind of sad to me. She was always my least favorite, even under Dany.
