Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

It may have been asked before but I have a good question... What about animals? Are they "immune" to this reanimation thing? Out of all six seasons and including the new FTWD series, we have not seen any animals come back as zombies. It's even more evident now when they went through the pet store in the last episode. The animals in there just shriveled up and died, not even a hint of them turning. Has this been explained before? It would be a nice change to see zombie dogs, birds, fish, or even like bears man. Just imagine the possibilities here! Perhaps it's a limitation on the production end of the show, but CGI should fix this right?

I don't know the answer to your question In terms of lore, but CGI is incredibly expensive, hence why even huge budget shows like game of thrones try to limit it as much as possible. To consistently have CGI animals in the show would eat up their budget

Basically it doesn't affect animals because it only affects our brains.

I thought the episode was great though. Rick was really a potatoe in the first 2 season. Like he had NO CHARISMA whatsoever. But man... he grew to be a really really wonderffull actor since season 4. Maybe the end of season 3 i dunno. That acting in the RV was just really good. You could feal him breaking down. If Glenn somehow survives, that would be a new low in The Walking Dead's terrible writing. I don't really understand what is so terrible about the writing. I didn't read all the comics (i read like 10) and then watchhed the show and i prefer the show. Maybe it's apple and oranges.

How about characters being bitten/killed by ninja zombies when plot demands it? Usually they kill dozens of walkers without any problems because those are slow and loud but somehow Tyreese and Bob died because they were surprised by sneaky zombies in empty rooms. I think Andrea also had a few encounters with ninja zombies but I watched seasons with her long time ago so I might be wrong.

People constantly acting irrationally (although this has gotten better), deus ex machina sneaky ninja zombies, drama for drama's sake, obvious plot armor and cannon fodder... It's still perfectly fine entertainment because it has zombies, but it's really not a quality show.

When they're constantly being attacked and just stop paying attention to their surroundings (like they did several times), it's a good reminder of just how hostile their world is. Granted, they still do it way too fucking often. On the other hand it's weird how sometimes the walkers are loud as hell and other times they just quietly start to nibble on your neck.

It's a tv show so walkers can appear out of nowhere, but it feels like they should try harder to be consistent with where walkers are. Every time the camera changes perspective away from someone I feel it could go right back and there could be a walker there. For example when they were in town go and go into an alley, see a horrifying sight, back out and suddenly the streets are filled with walkers. Did the walkers unburrow? Wasn't the group in the alley for only 10-20 seconds? I don't feel like I ever understand where things really are in the show.
