Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

+ Show Spoiler + How did it come to be that "everyone is infected"? Is it something naturally in the human body in the TWD world, or did something happen that caused everyone to get infected? I need to figure out how everyone is infected, because it's kinda frustrating during the scenes on the highway when they walk past cars (season 2); some of the dead people in the cars "wake up" as they are zombies, and some aren't. The ones that aren't are clearly dead yes? Then why aren't they zombies? And the idea of "well their brains are dead" doesn't hold up 100% to me because some of them look completely fine unless they have their brains busted from some weird angle. I'd try and take a screenshot of what I mean but I'm not home just at the moment. Unless it's possible they are some kind of "immune" part of the population?

If it is something that is discussed later on in the story, just let me know "it's explained later" or something. The only real reason I'm asking is because it seems like a weird continuity error in the show, here we go: + Show Spoiler + How did it come to be that "everyone is infected"? Unless it's possible they are some kind of "immune" part of the population? you really shouldn't put a lot of effort into this analysis; I assure you, even without having read the comic, that nobody behind it or the show has. the origin and exact scientific logistics of the outbreak are so much less interesting in this genre than the world it creates.

So the ideal episode for you is all drama, all the time? Andrea is practically an incarnation of drama writ large and baffling, as you point out, but that's a detriment apparently. The episode had the group struggling to get by without Rick, Rick struggling to get by, Daryl and Merle touching on their childhood and rejoining the gang, and Hershel hopping around trying to keep everyone's shit together for them. Andrea's role was mostly to serve up the governor misdirecting us before launching his assault on the prison. And the episode delivered on the action end as well. Rick and Glenn will sort themselves out. While Rick especially is waxing melodramatically, neither are damaging to the show. Andrea can be described as baffling, but at least it's somewhat consistent stretching back to Shane. She's in Woodbury for a variety of reasons - her old group abandoned her, she really wants to believe there's a future for the town as shown by her speeches last episode, and I guess the weird connection she has with the governor. You're not really criticizing the episode, but explaining some of the different plot strands in your post.

Usually it reveals some super important plot detail, but this time the governor´s messed up eye was the wrong one. Usually it is the right eye patched, but in the preview, his right eye is fine, but his left eye is all messed up. Good job. It was assumed to be from the abuse from his father, and when Merle left Daryl before to get away from it, the abuse both of them experienced went entirely to Daryl, leaving him all those scars. Merle never realized that had happened before this scene. I thought about the opposite eye for a second but then you see him holding a match up to his eye, presumably to cauterize his eye which in fact you would need a mirror to do properly.

As for what actually happened this episode, I was hoping the van that busted through the gates was Daryl coming to the rescue, but that didn't quite line up once I saw the smile on the governor's face. I liked how Daryl stood up for the group and basically told Merle he has retarded decision making, because he certainly does. I was also under the impression that the black chick (forgot her name) didn't have a gun and only used her sword... ? Once bullets started flying it seems like she whipped this assault rifle out of nowhere. She didn't really have any impact on the course of the episode despite being in a number of scenes though. And Andrea, to put it bluntly... is fucking retardedly naive, my god...

EDIT: Question: What series is worse about killing off characters, The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones (regardless that Game of Thrones has a larger pool of characters). I'd say GoT certainly kills off more characters... and they do it better too. Only two or three deaths (past/present/future) have really had any weight here... and even those deaths were rather anti-climactic and quickly forgotten about. Even minor characters in GoT that are killed off have made for some interesting chapters.

Perhaps we'd of remembered your name. I liked the ep overall, a little dull but it feels necessary in developing the characters. And @ the above question, GoT by far is worse about killing off it's characters. If by worse you mean the deaths are more shocking and upsetting. The quality in which they go out is great though, you usually don't see it coming and sometimes even if you do it's still a shocker just because it can be executed so tragically/brutally. I won't spoil what character nor which book but there is one death in that series that made me put the book down for a day I was so pissed off (prior to which I was rapidly turning the pages, but it just stopped me dead).

So, who was the person (body and height made it seem like a woman) that jumped out of the truck filled with walkers after it was crashed into the prison? Did he/she get away with the governor and those other gunmen, or hide somewhere in the prison?
