Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |
I have only 1 question that might sound stupid but if u think about it for a second maybe its not. How come the walkers refuses the feed on each other??? A lot of organism on this planet do so when they are in a pinch,i mean in a seriously bad situation.even man would do that(just think about the plane crash survivors). Im a biologist so these things really are bugging me :D

Not 100% sure, but like with most science fiction novels, there's some 'rules' that are put into place just for consistency, and zombies for whatever reason, don't eat each other. My guess is that they only eat 'living' things, and they aren't technically 'living' anymore? They even stated in the aftershow that they had to manually edit out using CGI all of the breath's from the walkers in the finale because they recorded in 28 degree weather and all of the walkers had their breath showing during the recording. At least that would be the simplest answer. And it seems that while eating does give them more 'strength' again at least in some instances, they don't actually feed to 'survive'. Zombies, I'd assume in this world, would continue to just wander, even if they hadn't feasted in days, so when exactly is a 'bad situation' to a zombie, if he will never die even if he doesn't feast.

No the dude hung himself and failed, then was stuck there while walkers ate his legs, they would have ate more but he was too high.

Wtf would they do for you? Nobody spoil it though. There are enough untagged spoilers in here already, Im not going to be reading this again until next season.
I also noticed that during the fleeing part of the episode when Dayle was watching the barn burn on his bike. The motorcycle had a knobby tire on it, probably the stunt tire, then the next scene it had a regular street tire. Just a little thing that I noticed, if we're on the topic of bloopers.
And for those saying that this new character is "unbelievable" I don't see where you are getting your "control" character to base them off of. Since it's the apocalypse and they're not using magic, that we know of, I don't see how what they are doing seems unreasonable or unbelievable. Just need to wait and see what they're all about before we go out with pitchforks.

I was thinking the captured zombies are some sort of bloodhounds or whatever. Maybe the zombies react to stuff a normal human being wouldn't, she could use something like that.
Or she's just playing pokemon.

Hmm I just realized in the story winter is approaching. They will begin filming in May. I wonder how they will manage to portray the winter season suring the summer. My geuss would be that a lot of the filming will be done indoors (prison).

I suppose since its a sience fiction im forced to "accept the unacceptable " lol. But still.IF the zombies are not alive anymore and they dont need to feed to move on,what in the nine hell is letting them doing so.We can assume they are immortal? They wouldnt starve to death ever? Its simply bullshet.Nothing on this planet moves without consuming at least a fraction of nutritions once in a while.

I really liked this episode... Up until the end with Lori. A few episodes ago, she was trying to get Rick to murder Shane, because he was a threat. Now he murdered Shane, and shes pissed at him because of it? What the fuck.
|
Lori is irrational and Carl well... no one likes him. He is just a kid though, so I do forgive his acting however I think the writers are perhaps are going in the wrong direction with him. I think that they should use Carl as a backshadow, nothing more nothing less, he shouldn't be involved that much, just referenced by his dad.
Also, T-Dog has almost been completely kicked off the show, I was quite surprised that he wasn't killed off.
I was kind of sad that Dale got killed, I do know he's a tad to "goody goody" but honestly, I could see an old man being like that, kind of reminds me of my dad.
+ Show Spoiler +Also, in the comic book, Dale survives pretty close to the end, I'm pretty sure he ends up getting bit by a zombie because he decides to purposely let a zombie bite him. He trolls a bunch of cannibals who try to eat him after he gets bitten and says he is "tainted meat". Dale was alot different in the comic than he was in the actual show though. Dale was more bad ass, he told Rick to go fuck himself a couple of times =P.
Also, I think they chose the wrong character for Carol, she looks way more different in the book, if anything more attractive.
Also Sophia doesn't get killed if I remember, she survives right to the end.
Short Story Short, the show is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy more different than the comic =P, although it basically has folloed the general plot, just little subtlties I guess.

She was upset that Carl killed Zombie Shane. Go back and watch her reaction as soon as Rick said it.

Well since it's a science fiction movie and stuff doesn't really come back to life after it is killed, it's hard to apply any of the known biological processes to it, if you break one law then it's hard to expect the rest of them to apply. And since it's a zombie theme you're usually not given a lot of back story about the virus and how and why it behaves the way that it does.
|
Also, I'm a bit confused as to how zombies don't die either after a while. I can understand the logic of them running off of bare minimum energy, and sure, that could last for 1-2 years, but honestly, it's unrealistic to run any longer than that, you simply need an energy source to survive.

Wait really? I thought that the episode ended killing shane? When did you see Lori get pissed off?

Fun fact, I thought episode 12 was the last episode, I am so happy, didnt realize there was another episode this season xD

Sentenal she's just upset Carl had to kill him. Shes trying to find someone to blame. Rick let his guard down. I mean it all stems down from her not being able to keep an eye on him but I'd probably be mad if I was in Lori's position. Shane was like a father to Carl for several months? I'm not sure how long Rick was in a coma.
EDIT: Lol at blug. Must feel like winning the lotto.

Like why the walkers were migrating in the first place (GET TO THE CHOPPAHH!)? How about the zombies casually limping towards Hershel in such a convenient manner that he gets to stay alive (forgot how to run huh)? Next the death of Hershel's daughter, whats her name Patricia, as all of a sudden a ninja zombie jumps her at the most convenient time, and BAM, we have some drama (oh wait you were laughing at that? :/). Also, why is Laurie upset that Shane got killed by Rick based on her past behavior?? I'm reeaally trying to just sit and enjoy this show without over-analyzing, but jesus they're making it hard for me. Sorry that was a little harsher than I normally try to be Also, lol
First season was a joke. Zombies were running and using rocks. That doesn't happen, ever. And I'm glad that hasn't made a reappearance in the second season.
And "GET TO THE CHOPPAHH!" wtf ?
It's perfectly possible to stand there and take a stand against an infinite number of zombies provided you don't have to reload and you always have a retreat ( and you're never tired ). Andrea showed that enough.
Patricia's death was forced. I couldn't tell if they were paying attention because he came out of nowhere. + Show Spoiler [comic] + it reminded me of one of the recent comics and the woman holding Carl's hand before Carl ...
Laurie is upset that Rick let Carl use a gun I think. She only reacted when he said that. Otherwise she was okay. Her acting was kinda bad though for the scene, which probably makes it more confusing.
Steven Yeun ( Glenn ) did an AMA on Reddit, I can't find the link though, but he said you're supposed to hate her character.
Finally at the guy mad about the tires, even for consistency, you only notice these things if you nitpick about the episode most of the time. I'd rather they be not consistent and use the right tires than have Daryl slip and injure himself? Here's a bunch of Matrix mistakes that seem to be much worse than replacing tires and from a major producer.
@blug, you need an energy source to survive. As we have not encountered non-organic and non-carbon based lifeforms, we are in no position to say they need energy to survive. It's like asking if Superman needed to eat, which is very debatable. Ideally, walkers should be crawlers, since walking requires memory, but zombies should have no memories of anything. But crawling zombies would be too easy. Running should be impossible, and is, rightly so. It's not about them catching up because they're running, but because you're out of energy ( yay Andrea! ).
