Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

From what I have read she is like one of the most popular characters in the comics so yea they would not skip this "silly" character. Especially if you look at the poll taken after the show where a vast majority picked her showing up as the most exciting point in the episode.

the counter to zombies is a tree house.
Clearly they can't climb trees.

Really, you pick something that minute to pick on. He uses a powerful handgun so it's not that much of a stretch, meanwhile Glenn is off balance hanging out an SUV while shooting a shotgun to headshot moving targets without recoil...
But it really didn't matter to me because all in all it was a great episode, especially the prison

Yeah, I haven't been reading this thread until the season finale, since Breaking Bad was spoiled last season. AMC sucks at keeping things from leaking. They even spoiled Shane's death this season on their website, lol. So fail.

You don't even know the character, you are simply judging it from first impression. Don't complain about something you don't know about.

Just thought I would say I love the comics and the show. And as a fan of the comics, I have been awaiting Michonne's triumphant entrance with upmost anticipation. But there is one thought that only recently crossed my mind:
Mod Edit: Comic spoilers. + Show Spoiler +While I'm totally a huge Michonne fan, I can't believe people aren't more pumped about Tyreese. I've hardly even heard his name mentioned in these threads, and he's totally a super-mecha badass. That scene where he gets locked in the cafateria and disappears for nearly a whole book, and you totally think he's dead. And then they go in there and hes just amassed the most epic pile of dead zombies ever, and hes still clutching his hammer. Nearly shit my pants at that part in the comics. Hope he's cast perfectly!!

The reason she has the zombies is because they mask her smell. And, oh yeah, because she's an unstoppable freaking monster ninja that zombies are literally afraid of--or would be if they knew what was good for them--not the other way around.

I thought it was a pretty badass first impression. She shows up with a sweet sword with pets... The things that are killing the only humans left alive and SHE HAS THEM AS PETS!! Awesome, I think... Now the person that annoys me is Carol. Why does she want to leave so badly?!?! I wouldn't even mind if she left, just stop trying to take the redneck with you!

hmmm... after this episode I'm actually debating if I should continue to watch. Some of it seemed rather, well forced. Scratch that, a lot of it seemed forced. Like why the walkers were migrating in the first place (GET TO THE CHOPPAHH!)? How about the zombies casually limping towards Hershel in such a convenient manner that he gets to stay alive (forgot how to run huh)? Next the death of Hershel's daughter, whats her name Patricia, as all of a sudden a ninja zombie jumps her at the most convenient time, and BAM, we have some drama (oh wait you were laughing at that? :/). Also, why is Laurie upset that Shane got killed by Rick based on her past behavior??
I'm reeaally trying to just sit and enjoy this show without over-analyzing, but jesus they're making it hard for me. Sorry that was a little harsher than I normally try to be
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/4QahA.png) Also, lol

Yeah, it was actually Otis' wife or something. Goes to show how well the writers developed the stories on these characters before they became zombie chow, huh? I think she appeared in like three episodes.
I'm glad Hershel didn't die though, he actually is one of my favorite characters. He adds something to the cast and doesn't make stupid decisions like everybody else.

I agree with you, but I would expect Rick to have some idea of what to do. He is a sheriff after all... That makes me think that he would be better equipped than most people to survive in a situation like this, safely. IE, the hammocks in the trees... that seems pretty straight forward to me, it doesn't even have to be that high. Just 10 feet off the ground, I'm 6 feet tall and can barely dunk on a basketball hoop. I would say that the zombies cannot jump as high.

If you watch how that zombies head got cut off and then look how she is holding the sword you'd notice that the sharp edge of the blade was the wrong way. Blooper. The chick looks pretty sweet though, Im glad we see somebody using a sword, obvious weapon of choice in Walking Dead world. I have no idea why you would have two zombies on leashes. Wtf would they do for you? Nobody spoil it though. There are enough untagged spoilers in here already, Im not going to be reading this again until next season.

Curious what would you do if you woke up and there were 10 zombies underneath you seeing as you are only 10 feet off the ground and I would assume a zombie would notice you eventually.
Also it would lighten up the show with some comedic value as people fall out of hamocks all the time in comedies.
Guy saying Patricia was Hershals daughter must watch the show while doing other things (like writing in forums).

I did forget her name and who she was though, oops. That was probably more about how much I knew or cared about her though as she was a rather ancillary character.

I'm with Radioman, tree hammocks? seriously? what do you do if there is a zombie below you. hang out until you starve? cmon. and have you ever sat/slept in a hammock? It's not exactly the easiest thing to maneuver in.
1) they just left the farm with whatever they could grab hold of, mostly nothing but guns. so what do you make these magical tree hammocks from?
2) they never had to think about tree hammocks before this because they either had a camp set up (shane) or they were on the farm where there felt little need to hang out in trees all day.
3) hard to get into, get out of, and not being able to escape is a terrible thing. book spoiler sorta: + Show Spoiler + in the comics, at some point rick and carl are alone and they find a house to stay at night, he asks if carl wants to stay upstairs or downstairs, and carl wisely says, 'lets stay here (downstairs)' and rick agrees stating it'll be easier to jump out a window or a back door if they get overwhelmed. The last thing you want is to get trapped somewhere with no way out, that's how you die in zombieland.
And it bothers me that people can try to nitpick tiny things like recoil (when it was there), or 'random zombie attacks from the side' when there was obviously hundreds if not thousands of zombies on the farm coming from all sorts of angles especially being attracted to the barn fire, yet you can't even pick up something as simple as patricia being Otis' wife, and not Herschel's daughter. THAT is why this thread is infuriating to most of us who haven't been complaining. Because you complain about the tiniest things, and THEN complain about shit that you should've known had you paid attention. Sorry, but if you state that you fast forward through parts, then you have no right to complain about the show since you're obviously only half assing it. I get P4ndemik's complaints, and sure some of the writing has been spotty at times, but it's still an enjoyable show, and it's weird to me that despite wanting to enjoy the show, people want to tear it down so much. It almost feels like you few watch it TO tear it down more than to just enjoy a drama placed in the zombie apocalypse.
I'm curious now that Mad Men is going to be back on the air, if you same guys would watch that and pick apart historical facts as well. "LOL JFK died on a saturday, but in the show they said it was sunday, god what a terrible show". -_-'
