Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

People saying this after every episode got old ages ago. I can't believe this is said after every episode, especially after the one we just saw.

I would have to re-watch the scene but I don't think he was that caught of guard.
I don't think he knew, if he had known, he would've probably stabbed/shot shane in the head rather then let him come back. People keep speculating what Jenner said to Rick but my guess is it's just something as simple as "we're fucked, there is no cure'.

Well see I also had that thought in my head. What if Jenner told him that everyone is infected but he wasn't sure of the reanimating part. We can only wait and see.

Rick shot the fat dude in the head in the bar even though he's already dead. Why did he do it?

It's been said but from my understanding throughout that scene you could see Ricks Disgust for the fat man especially after he pissed right infront of him. He had a lot of facial twitches during the scene if I recall correctly. It was more of a fuck you thing.

The last two episodes were awesome. I was totally not expecting Rick to kill Shane until I saw his hand reach behind his back to pull out a knife. Then I was expecting him to get back up, but totally not expecting Carl to be the one to shoot him. But really, it's getting pretty old that Carl NEVER obeys his parents when they tell him to do something and stay put (and this time, why the hell wasn't Lori with him?)

jenner told rick, either one of two things.
told him his wife was pregnant. overwhelmingly most likely, considering the blood tests that he had performed.
or
told him something relating to how he survived being in a coma for an undisclosed period of time (but clearly several days/weeks at a minimum) despite having recieved no food or water for that entire period.
..........
actually i suspect the that the writers have no idea what jenner said and will just google search it for ideas off forums, and use whatever they find that sounds best. probably the pregnancy. i am pretty cycnical after season 4 of BSG as well as the last couple seasons of LOST. plus the insultingly stupid conclusion to ME3.

Plot. No other reason.
Also, Lori is a horrible mother. Would it hurt her so much to keep an eye on her stupid son for just one night?

The walkers showing up is probably a result of bad writing but I rationalized it so that every bullet ever fired in the farm causes the walkers to go in the general direction of the farm, then after enough walking, they stop until they hear another sound to go after. Carl's shot was the last straw in terms of leading the zombies to the farm.
We still don't know much about walker behavior so it could be anything besides them showing up just for the sake of plot advancement or an actual believable reason.

Have you ever come up with a reason why sometime you go to a coffee shop and find an old friend, but sometimes, you go to a coffee shop and don't find an old friend?
I'll give you a hint: life isn't symmetrical. Also, it isn't real life. It is a show with zombies. Sometimes you have to use your imagination.

That's nonsense, that means you can't be critical no matter what happens. "Because Zombies" isn't a valid reason. I agree that there doesn't need to be a specific reason to this situation, but just saying that they can get away with anything because there's Zombies in isn't right.

This was probably some roaming hoard of zombies wandering in the area at the time. The day before they probably weren't nearby. And from the looks of things they came from the oposite direction of where everyone was searching for the prisoner.

It's not really bad writing, there are a number of reasons they may have ended up there though it is convenient to the plot. But it's more of Zombies happened to be in the area when the gun was fired or maybe they started heading there when the guns were fired earlier (so when Daryl shoots Dale) and then got sidetracked until they heard Carl shoot.
This isn't a comic plot spoiler, but is a spoiler about comic zombie behavior. + Show Spoiler +In the comics the zombies are pretty stupid (as you'd expect), but essentially what happens is if a zombie starts moving in a direction for any stupid reason (even just chance) other zombies will follow it, then that zombie will start following the zombies following it so they just end up wandering in a herd/pack that just gathers more zombies as it goes. So no matter where you are, eventually some zombies are likely to find you. Chances are what happened here is that a pack was wandering nearby when the gun was fired and it attracted them. They may have also started heading in the direction of the farm due to one of the random trips the gang has taken over time or even because an acorn fell of a tree and a zombie started walking towards the sound.

So losing Dale wasn't... A huge deal. He was annoying, and no one listened to him anyway. But they killed Shane off, and he was the main driving point of conflict in the show (barring the zombie horde, of course). So... I just don't know. I'm loving the show, I just hope it doesn't slow down now.

I love that the show has the balls to kill off important characters. Tbh, Shane was starting to annoy me a bit. I mentioned it earlier but all the jealousy just kind of got to be too much.

Viewers complain about not enough zombies in the series When Zombies show up viewers get all snippy-smartass about details.
One might think after the highway scene people have accepted that yes, in the walking dead shit like that just happens.
Great episode. Really didn't expect the Rick / Shane showdown. Next episode looks like they soon might have to abandon the farm. Who will die next O_O

Earlier in the episode there was a discussion about how the swamps and surrounding marshland would begin to freeze over, the reason that everyone was moving inside. But I'm not sure if that would be a valid reason as it's most likely that the land wouldn't have frozen over yet.
Just a suggestion.
