Also is it just me or did the scene of the horse being eaten remind you of interior semiotics?

Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

Agreed with most people here I was like WTF? when they go into the store and there is like 6 people not in the novels there. Wonder if they will be just Don't like how the smalltown cop can suddenly hotwire cars too. Also racist asshole returning is way too obvious :-( I don't mind that the Shane Lori thing is more obvious and ongoing. This will make for a great return to the camp.

You sure about that? Okay man, if you say so. Couple of other minor complaints I forgot about: I was a little bewildered at how fast Rick went from "small town cop" to "badass survivalist zombie killing machine of death". I mean, wasn't he in the hospital, like, two days ago or something? And then suddenly he's able to headshot zombies at mid range in rapid fire sequence after not having handled a gun for who knows how long? This guy must have enormous balls of steel. Also, the rain washing away the dead smell thing. This part made absolutely no sense. It wasn't mascara they put on, getting soaked should have enhanced the smell of the guts on them while simultaneously washing away whatever natural body odors they had. Even if we're to somehow believe the water washed off the liquid guts that they smeared all over those coats, what about the intestines and solid body parts that they put on themselves?

I just recently read the first few graphic novels and was kinda confused when I didn't know who any of those guys were. ![]()

Good to know that laughably multicultural group of cliched stereotypes was the creation of the show's producers rather than the author. Gives me a bit more faith in the source material and a bit less in the people adapting it for the small screen.

But as far as getting to know new characters goes, you're going to have to get used to it, this is a zombie apocalypse, you're going to end up meeting new characters and each character is a wrench thrown in because they all have their own agendas. I actually think it's kinda interesting that they did deviate (hence being torn on the issue), might end up seeing more action with more characters to kill off.

now that i've seen episode 2 i feel like an idiot ![]() i especially liked tool-wielding zombies, zombies able to climb fences and land on their feet (dexterity ftw), a giant screwdriver wielding small town cop able to start a (obviously) 2010 red dodge, awkward and extremely forced conversations about mermaids while theres 89324732 zombies literally 20 feet away from them (WHO THE HELL WOULD FEEL SAFE ENOUGH IN THAT ROOM TO HAVE A HEART TO HEART WITH A STRANGER?), the "okay dad.." in the beginning from the cop's wife. They're in what is essentially worse than a warzone with high possibility of death ALL AROUND YOU and she's acting like a 14 year old girl rebelling against a curfew? She also apparently lacks any motherly instincts whatsoever? I'm just venting but it's only cause i was so goddamn excited for this show ![]()

The second episode was so bad I'm almost embarassed for having enjoyed the first.

First episode I thought was pretty sweet, in my opinion, some of the animations for the zombies were great.. for example: + Show Spoiler + After the second episode, I wasn't as impressed.. I think I am now more excited for Dexter on Sundays. I'll still keep watching though. xD
