An action-thriller about a writer who takes an experimental drug that allows him to use 100 percent of his mind. Good movie, definitely worth a watch. The true story of Danny Greene, a tough Irish thug working for mobsters in Cleveland during the 1970's.

Some people call it "Twilight" for people with taste. It's not a blockbuster. A lot of people don't even know about it but the fact that it can compete with movies like "Godfather II" on certain metacritics websites makes it a truly hidden gem. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/let_the_right_one_in/

Just be careful and make sure you don't accidentally watch the American version. It is a great injustice to the original.

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels: i noticed Snatch has been mentioned a bunch. Lock stock is the original film that Guy Ritchie did before Snatch and Rock'n'Rolla. Lock Stock has quotes galore and the way it all comes together is just simply brilliants. MUST WATCH. 22 Bullets: French Film with Jean Reno (the professional, MI etc). Its about feuding mafioso bosses in Marseille. I was pleasantly surprised in it. Wasn't expecting much, and it turned out rather well. Easy A: Im not usually a fan of the teen American Pie style movies, so this one i assumed would be rubbish. But Emma Stone and Co make it genuinely funny. Some pretty decent jokes in it. Fair Game: Im not sure how much coverage this movie got in the bigger movie markets, but for some reason it flopped in most countries that i know of. And i have no idea why. Sean Penn is pretty awesome in it, and its a movie that tries to put the whole Iraq War into a more realistic perspective. Its based on a true story of a female CIA agent that was victimised for attempting to speak the truth, and her husband. Well worth it if you like the crime/thriller/espionage style movie. Beyond Borders: ok, everyone posted Children of Men. Well, Beyond Borders is another Clive Owen movie that tackles political motivations and world poverty with war. Angelina Jolie is the main actress, but she does a reasonable job. I was so surprised with this movie, and i actually love it. Kenny: Australian movies are usually pretty junk. We just can't seem to get it right very often. Some good ones get through, but its rare. Kenny is one of those ones where you look at it, and think wtf is this going to be like. Its a mockumentary about a port-a-loo cleaner. Its got a ton of aussie styled slang etc in it, but worth checking out if you really want to see something different in a film. Pans Labyrinth: WOW, just WOW is all i can say. I had no idea what to expect, and was recommended it out of the blue one day by a friend. Boy was i happy when i was finished. Fantastic film. The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo trilogy: Everyone has read the books (if you haven't, do so NOW). They holywood versions of the movies are apparently in production. But i honestly wouldn't wait for them. Get the Swedish Version's of the films that have been around for a couple of years now. The original title was called The Girl who Hates Men, but censors kicked in blah blah blah. The author of the books never got to see his trilogy published, but his wife made sure they were known, and the movies were made. And the Swedish Versions are unbelievable. I was expecting crap like most book to movie phenomenon's are (aka the davinci code etc), but this time they got it right. Not every detail is there, but my god, the movies are made well enough to be forgiven. And if you are new to this trilogy from readin here, then make sure you don't miss the books at least TV series - Spooks: I know this isn't a movie, but i just want to get it in here for the countries that may not know about it. If you like the spy sort of movies and shows, this is THE BEST of all of them in my opinion. Its about MI5, and is a cross between a bit of James Bond style action, but also your more serious style shows like law and order, or the bourne trilogy. Its a british show and that means the hero's don't always win. The storylines get better as the series progress as well. Just give it a go if you like watching boxed tv series like i do Thats all i got off the top of my head. I tried to come up with a few things that are semi-mainstream, but are also movies a lot of people would have missed due to the mega-promtion cyclone that is Hollywood.

On Topic: I have not read through all 66 pages, but you should definetly watch "Train of Life". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0170705/ Its a movie about a jewish village during the nazi regime. They find out they're gonna be deported to a KZ and just do it themselves. They get a train, manufacture uniforms and a group of jews plays german officers and soldiers deporting the rest of them. It's really, really funny and great work till the end.

Yea, the American version "Let Me In" is simply a rehash of the brilliant Swedish adaptation of the book. Watch the original in subtitles and try to appreciate the acting the two main characters do in this film. It blew me away. Thought it might be a cheap zombie movie without any surprises but it really hangs on the story line and lets you imagine what ur seeing is really happening. It is shot very amaetur style, but I think that added to the film. Really blew me away and I was completely surprised I like it. It's been awhile, but I remember the soundtrack being really good and surprisingly uplifting given the subject matter.

The budget was probably less than i have on my cash account right now but the story was amazingly well done.

Valerie and her Week of wonders. This is one strange movie. But I think it was quite interesting. Fantastic Planet. One of my favourite animated movies. The movies directed by Rene Laloux are amazing.

I haven't been touched by a film for few years, and this movie blew me away. Its one of those movies you want to re-watch immediately just after watching, and again and again... so deep yet so simple. For psychedelic trips Enter the Void is great(mentioned few times here).

Both the story of how Steve Jobs and Bill Gates started their careers. Not a masterpiece in any means but suprisingly entertaining!

Lynch always walks the fine line between genius and insanity. After watching this movie once I thought it was just "good", but then I read/thought about it and watched it a 2nd time. Now it is one of my favorite movies.
