Valhalla Rising - holy shit this is bad...don't put yourself through it Funny Games - Decent, disturbing home invasion movie with an old school style Grave of the Fireflies - pretty good anti-war tearjerker Nausicaa Valley of the Wind - pretty good, sci-fi/fantasy (neither come close to Spirited Away/Mononoke imo) Moon - Enjoyable, cool premise but once that's worked out it doesn't do much else Pandorum - good, standardish sci-fi thriller Love Exposure - overly long, crazy-ass Japanese film that gets carried by the love interest who is hot as hell. I guess by the end I had enjoyed it but it was a serious time-waster. Movies I love that have been mentioned: Lost in Translation Cube Old Boy Equilibrium (seriously, I don't understand why people rip on this) Primer Ink Battle Royale Let the Right One In | ||

Johnnie To can do no wrong when he's doing action films, his comedies are a much different matter. Running on Karma is probably my favorite due to it's unique, genre fusing style. | ||
