It was interesting to see the build up from secret to lock the map and liquid's fighting against it but the last 25 minutes had nothing noteworthy happening, the situation stayed exactly the same.

Yeah, this one was over pretty early, but TL was trying hard to find some angle. We've seen some late-game turnarounds, but Secret had to give them an opening for it to happen.

It works as something of an anti-Deathball lineup as well. This game was over by about 15 minutes, but it's quite interesting to see this wrinkle. Great analysis. Their draft and execution kind of reminds me of a typical Terran control/contain strategy from Starcraft. Not the perfect comparison

It's not even close (at this time of course not over the year) EG took a game off Secret yesterday and beat (admittedly a weaker-looking) Liquid earlier in the tournament. LGD took games off Liquid and Secret and lost (were already behind, but lost) that Liquid series to a ballsy throne push. I'm okay with saying Liquid and Secret are top 2 right now (which is what the tournament says too), but there are definitely teams that can play with them.

Not the perfect comparison It was the closest thing to a Mech Strat you can see in Dota. The Arc Warden can always win the late game, so the point is to get all of that extra farm into very specific items. One thing everyone lost about the way Wings played is that their point of drafting unconventional heroes was really about making sure their core approach wasn't banned, along with building items specifically to the prepared strategy. Secret's draft in game 2 could have been run through by TL if they didn't go with those types of items. No shotguns or Zeus Aghs and TL probably wins a fight around Roshan in the midgame.

Liquid stomped EG yesterday but EG looked absolutely amazing in their games against Secret. Much more than i thought they would. I'd put Liquid ahead of LGD but I def wouldn't say Liquid is miles ahead of EG even though they happened to stomp them yesterday. It's dota, some teams are good against certain teams while others struggle against them. It's this Team A is better than Team B, and Team B is better than Team C therefore Team A is better than Team C mentality that is flawed. Also, even though VP went out early it's kind of silly to not put them into the same category imo
