Let's go Mineski!

I have to imagine the team that comes from the Liquid / Secret game is a huge favorite to win this.

You have no idea how wrong you are. It might be true for THIS tournament, but I was at the Kiev Major last year and I really fell in love with the fans there. Yes VP (and Reso) got the biggest cheers but they cheered for everyone... LOUD. Hopefully I get the chance to go back sometime, had a blast.

Secret definitely had potential to win that, I think the battle where they lost a bunch because of Liquid's shrine was a momentum shift

Fata missed a lot of sprouts lol, Puppey's hero kind of didn't do anything but not his fault

Secret with the invisible draft ..... i rarely like triple invis heroes drafts as you double the effectiveness of the enemy dusts/sentry/gem ..... will see how it works for secret but for now they are losing this draft and game.

Itemization of Secret's cores will also be interesting. I guess at least Linkens looks very tasty for Weaver, so not getting Deso on Weaver looks like a decent choice, which means TA can get it to farm super quickly.
At least spamming sentries in lane will be super effective, so I dont expect BH to get a lot done in terms of anything but grabbing a couple of bounty runes...

Also that play by miracle on fb looked weird.

Looks exactly like TI Liquid. Falling behind in kills but somehow staying very close in terms of gold. Dont know how often we have seen this exact story..

lol secret went into fucking full tilt mode after midone fed at the radiant bottom t3

They needed to BKB on TA earlier (I don't really blame him for going MKB but still), or linkens on weaver to apply to TA. They didn't wait for any of those and just kept feeding

As always you need to bait out the dooms and take the fight after or kill him before he can get them off on good targets. Harder said than done.

ye super hard when the doom is tanking af and the weaver was dirt poor
puck was their only teamfight, and without him they basically had nothing

i felt liquid was going to always win at some point with a massive team fight
only way secret would win is getting 2-4 racks advantage from no bbs from liquid

That was one massive comeback.

They got so much out of that gem, and they played so cool after 0-7, pure bliss.

tbh the only point in time where I felt they were actually behind was after that desastrous Rosh attempt. Luckily MidOne saved them.

I somehow really enjoyed gh's reaction after being told that tactical pauses are a thing, haha.

yes, do not focus on kill:death score during a game, the networths of the cores are more important
even though the kd wasn't in liquids favor, the cores (tumby and mc) were still up there in nw with the TA
gives a good indication of who will win the teamfights after

that game was kinda over if Secret just takes t3 and get the shrines, massive gold for Ace, no way they can deny rosh with Puppey lurking and giving information

it was just a slow win, but midone threw that away

The only way Liquid lost that game was if MidOne can take Aegis, which would make the Doom useless. That or Secret need to get a massive gold advantage such that when GH got blink MidOne had bkb + linkens.

What is this observer doing? He's looking away from crucial places for way too long in way too foreseeable situations, for example just now when Clock invaded the stack farmed by Lifestaler/Ember...
I mean I get that he's obv listening to the russian cast, so I get that the synchronization between English casters and the obs suffers a bit automatically, but it's a tad bit much..Production would really benefit from an obs that is listening in to the English Broadcast that is streamed on the English stream.

Edit: And again just now when Ember gets fiends gripped in mid.
Anyway, this game is bonkers, really loving it so far!

Difference between Mushi and other average carries, he actually knows how to win games even if his mechanical skills are not as good anymore. Good macro understanding of game and hero lineups. Makes the call for certain itemization to go for the kill instead of farming forever like sea retards.

Because core NS is actually scary when farmed? The better question is why do you think that NS is just darkness-vision-bot? Back in the days people used to play mid NS, and s4 was known for beastly NS.

Also, Mski already won few games as Icex3 on NS as core.

NS doesn't have to be a hyper damage dealer. His job in this game was to find and kill GH before echo OR to prevent pugna from doing anything with interrupts and silences, which he did a really good job of! I like the NS core against a Pugna core.

Yeah, he never is actual damage dealer, but fast BKB on him makes fights against his team a living hell to play. Uses Darkness, pops BKB, dives one hero that can't get away nor do anything. He is like a bit different version of Doom, that farms slower but has more utility with constant slows, silences and vision that he provides. Also, core NS will be much higher level within first 2 nights than roamer NS, and that makes him a lot more deadly.

Green heroes aids patch.

Mineski getting steamrolled by numbers advantage due to MC tping around. Don't see any chance of comebacks unlike game 1 when Liquid still has a good chance because of earthshaker's initiations.

4vs3 mid at 4 min into the game. Benefiting Mski since that leaves AM free.

AM is still a god damn useless hero. Liquid could still win before am even comes online.

Yeah, that game 3 completely tilted Mineski. Hope they recover from that before the next tournament.

I'm sure they will.

I cannot wait until Team Liquid finally loses a LAN.

liquid looked easily the strongest team out there, I doubt it'll change unless new patch hits tbh
